Having used the tine drill for 3 years I would say no to dd, not enough weight, not enough spring tension and coulters too wide, great for min till etc, now run Sabre tine, seed placement far better and can be used in any system.
Was doing it for 3 years, ww, wosr, sbeans a n wbeans in the rotation, just come to the conclusion the downsides outway the upsides and a pass with a Trio is the best money spent on the coming crop.
It wasn't in a bad way before,just proved in a wet year nature can't do everything,remove compaction etc,still got a direct drill so in the right conditions in the future might risk an area but whole farm every year has proved a no no.
Couldn't risk it this year,land in such a bad state after 3 years DD,sad stale and anaerobic,used a Sumo Trio on it all to breath some life back into it.
3 people dd within 5 miles of here,in a wet year a total disaster,if free draining land you stand half a chance of it working,unfortunately not a lot of that round here.
