    MF8110 water leak

Had a look at a long standing water leak today and it is weeping just below the cylinder head but more like from the timing gear where it bolts onto the block. Anyway had a word with a bloke what knows and he says that there is a stud into the casting that hasn't a lot of steel either side of it...

    SiP Mig mate repair.

In a fit of fiscal madness about 5 years ago I bought one of the above for £15 in a sale. Anyway , I have plugged it in a few times and although the 'on' light comes on there was only a random clicking from within the beast. Had a fiddle last night and the little wheel that pushes the wire to...

plasma cutter with thermal heating feature.

I see some P/C's have a thermal heating feature effectively doing the job of gas bottles for heating bearings, bolts etc. The only one's I've seen so far are the 'Oxford' make and they are £1500 ish. I'm not saying that that is too expensive but can the cheaper one's do the same thing? Anyone...

welder generator in a metal container?

I've got some large steel bins on wheels that would be a good way of moving the generator about the farm and workshop. Is it a good idea to do this from an electrical safety point of view? The generator is in a metal frame obviously but I just thought could the metal bin become live realistically?

I've got a fair quantity of diesel 6 miles away from the farm on an unmanned site, away from houses etc. It is an easy target. Any motorbike clutch experts on here?

We've got a beta 125 trials bike , I replaced the clutch side crankshaft oil seal recently as it was using a bit of oil from the clutch. Bike was on ATF in G/box and no clutch drag at all before being taken to bits even when cold. Clutch drags all the time now , still ATF, plenty of 'throw' in...

    5 to 4 pin 3 phase plug

I've just bought a 3 phase compressor with a 5 pin plug, I 've got a 4 pin socket where I want to use the machine, can I put a 4 pin plug on and which wire do I not use, or do I replace the lead and the plug and lose a wire at the motor end? Presumably I can't lose one of the 3 lives or the...

    The ball and the bolt...

Well maybe not as creative as @Walterp but it is the best I can do. I have had a long standing problem with my 3080, in short being a bad starter, new starter motor, new battery but never got to the back of it until I tried a suggestion on here where I put one jump lead from the negative of the...

    Top hat extension Lely 320mc

I bought a linkage mounted 320mc lely mower without seeing it (ready to go to work etc etc) and there is an extension to the top hat on the driven end missing. The drive on mine goes through the top hat to the bed, luckily I noticed on the first time round that it was wrapping the shaft with...
