Probably, but never tried it, the only linseed I did with it was tall, laid and caused other problems! Short spring barley was a sod with it.
Short stuff just sits on the bridge between the 2 sections and you can't quite get the reel close enough to sweep it clear. The newer ones are flatter...
We had a 622x on a 2015 T560 fairly pleased with it except for in short crops, where the step was to big between the fixed and moving part so the crop just sat there. The newer 7 series ones seemed a lot better in this regard.
I got a bit carried away when we replaced it before last harvest and...
We ran one for 10 yes or so, only time they are unstable is using the steering drawbar with the booms folded up. Just make sure the steerings switched off and they're fine.
Only swapped ours as I wanted to go wider.
Currently 3 and a telehamdler, the 3rd is basically backup with a loader on it and has the hedge cutter left on through Jan and Feb so my mainly retired Dad can do bits in between the usual hectic life that pensioners have!
Cut back a bit from when I was growing up and we were running a 4240s...
Just to be equally facetious, the old fashioned way to get a nationwide indication of numbers would be numerous branch and county meetings up and down the country that would get a lot more than 279 people in total.
Fully agree that the NFU has been far too slow at embracing newer ways to listen...
Have you been actively looking at routes to market that don't include red tractor, i.e. self declaration of production to legal standards or adoption of alternative assurance standards (N Irish for example)?
What uk laws lead to unsafe food or bad environmental practices? Would a simple box on the passport that you sign to say it's produced at or above current legal standards not be sufficient for a base level?
This is exactly the sort of quote that makes people with opposing views give up posting. The inability to listen to what others are saying, and whilst not agreeing with them, at least understand that there are often valid views that are different to yours is one of the worst points of social media.

We absolutely need people willing to stir things up and be outspoken, we also need those that can calm the waters and negotiate, stamping of feet and walking out rarely gets you anywhere.
It's one of the dangers of one member one vote, and a line that is difficult to tread.
I don't disagree at all that the arbitrary date is pointless, as with everything else in farming it's the conditions that matter, not the calendar. However, when they went in to negotiate the government bods were set on banning untreated urea, given that the government prefer a definite date...
This is one of the bits that gets twisted to be anti NFU. If someone BFU had gone into a room with DEFRA/EA or whichever government body it was. and come out saying "we've saved untreated urea, the restrictions are self policing and if you've left RT you don't have to worry at all" they would...
But isn't that an even bigger risk with one member one vote, where there is the potential for whoever has the loudest voice on social media gets to be the representative regardless of experience? Like it or not we need an industry body talking to supermarkets, mills etc (our customers).
I've got a CO6 that is land wheel driven, it's a drill I no longer use and it's been a parts store for another co. It drives off the trolley wheels under the tank. If it's any help I can get some photos or you could have the parts from it.
Finally finished with some very green, weedy seed linseed.
Don't think it should look like that! Fortunately I was just combining it for someone else so haven't got to sort it out.
