Required parts for the springs or to get the airbags operation? When I fitted mine all I had from Massey was the springs, they fitted straight on without any additional parts. Perhaps some longer bolts we had in the workshop anyway. I used 12.9 grade cap bolts.
I had the same concern but they’ve been no issue at all, got a 20 stone lad driving it as well. I undid them a few months ago when we did the brakes and there was no sign of any distortion or bend in the bolt. The other good thing is the original mounts and airbags are all just left in place so...
Genuine springs off a 5470 will bolt straight on the damper mounts and you can forget about the whole poxy air system for the rest of the life of the tractor.
They’re a lot less than £330/ side as well.
A rookie rep once accidentally ordered a customers tractor with that fixed shaft. The customer understandably rejected the tractor. It hung around for months before it was sold at a very discounted rate. It was a bargain for somebody.
All adapter plates i''ve seen make the geometry all wrong. Best thing you would do is get Taylor attachments to make you a Q fit headstock to fit- theyre not silly money.
We used to have a tractor on 600’s and 16’’ rims and they looked awful- the tyre was clearly pinched in at the beads. Never had any problem with them though.
That’s annoying- I’ve got a Jurop pump in the workshop- it was replaced because the barrel rippled and it kept knocking the veins out- but the gearbox/ front casting is 100%.
If it happens again PM me.
It won’t be long until seats have memory functions and electric forward/ back and cushion adjustments.
I find it’s not too bad getting the height and forward back sorted, the height is automatic and for me the seat goes right back. What really buggers the job up is when someone adjusts the...
Has the adblue got any rain water in it? Ours was left out with the lid off for a week or so and the tractor used twice or 3 times as much adblue for the rest of that barrel. Went back to normal with a new barrel which is now kept inside!
You can’t speak too surely until it comes to selling them at the end of their time with you?
Of course you will get a cheaper price to change going to a cheaper brand, but I suspect when you come to swap in the Cases you’ll be back to square 1 again.
Any thoughts on plate vs pipe/tube coolers?
For equivalent size the pipe cooler is an extra £1000 but it’s more free flowing and unblockable. We had a real palava with some cheap filter socks which blocked the plate cooler with fibres so I am wary of that.
Question is, which is more efficient...
Not only are Qashqui drab, they are also woefully unreliable. After the 2nd gearbox in mother’s in 20,000 miles she got rid before the warranty ran out. It was a 14 plate with an auto box.
They were a good mower in their day, one feature was the drawbar had a wide angle pto joint at the same point it hinged so you could ‘turn’ it around corners whilst at work by pulling the drawbar in.
