Having worked on both as a mechanic, you couldn't give me a Polaris! Well maybe you could but i'd sell it and buy a Gator or Kubota RTV both infinately better machines. If you aren't bothered by petrol then Can-Am make a decent machine. Gators you can get parts for no bother and there are plenty...
Don't use non genuine parts either! If for whatever reason it groans or grumbles you'll be wondering if it was down to not fitting the correct parts. Anything internal like that, I fit genuine. Not worth the hassle going back in because you fitted a non genuine part.
If it has done 7000hrs on standard discs are the Kevlar worth the investment as next time round it in theory could have 14000hrs? Pistons and backing plates don't always need doing.
Should be able to do at least 6000 bales without knotting problems we do that yearly with ours and probably done 2 consecutive seasons without mis-tying. I agree you can have perfectly set up knotters and string guides worn, rubbish string, grooves in needles, sharp edges on needle slots, heck...
It would annoy me not to get to the bottom of the knotting fault before moving it on. I run a JD 456, which has a narrower reel than a 456a. Not had bother following a 17ft header, struggles with a 21ft header and large amounts of straw say from Oats. But knotting wise, I know there is something...
Yeah basically the unit detects it's charging more frequently than it should. Well at least the pressure dips for longer on application of the pedal. The accumulator seems to serve two purposes. One to store energy to respond to demands from the brake system and the second is to smooth out the...
I do wonder if these quick change holders are worth the time saved. I know I've lost 3 or 4 blades out of the holders. Could be stones or clump of sod that dislodges them? I think bolt-on would without a doubt stay put even if colliding with something. I don't do masses of mowing so wonder if...
Last time I had a Snap-on power tool fail I gave it back to the dealer and you can get it overhauled for about £90 which usually includes new plastics and internals. Basically looks like new when you get it back. I feel bad as I just binned the 1/2" gun I had. Think the motor had failed on that...
Let's see what happens, have put in another application for a quote as the previous had expired. We'll find out if the new rules make any difference to the price and I'll update everyone when I have the answer.
Not really no, the startup current of just the 15KW motor will have the generator on its knees. You'd be better with a 60KVA that way you have a little overhead.
Yep I'd agree entirely with the above. Yes, you can use a soft start technique rather than direct online. But in my experience all...
Probably be a struggle. Assuming peak efficiency of 100% which in a motor isn't possible, at full load that motor will draw at least 62 Amps, added to the fact that the startup current could easily exceed 150 Amps, I'd say with all the lights and other power draws switched off you may just about...
Thank you for the link, it would appear that was released after I made my latest enquiry so I may try again in the near future and see if they can price more competitively.
Depends on horsepower requirements as stated by previous post. You can use VFD on reasonable sized motors. The limit can be the single phase supply, as current demand is high on larger motors and this is supported better by three phase supplies. With two motors you could also run a rotary phase...
Only two options for me having spannered on Rangers, Mules, Gators and Kubotas as part of hire fleets and contract use. The Gators are more nimble and quick off the mark. The Kubotas are probably better build and strength but that comes with a weight disadvantage. For most work this weight isn't...
