    I'm not a mechanic and I didn't have time / inclination. I needed it for contract slug pelleting and can earn the £60/hr labour charges doing that.

    You are correct it did cost £80 for parts, and the problem was diagnosed straight away. The labour cost was £184 (3 1/4 hrs). Giving a grand total of £264 plus vat.
