Delivery from @Kevtherev 's courier today. 9 acres of Hurrells Alderley. 4th field of this ley we've put in over the last few years and been very happy with the results.
Oddly, I was thinking exactly the opposite. No tractor I've driven in recent years has underwhelmed me as much as the current 6120m. Coming from a 6230 Standard I thought it clumsy, high both to get in and out of and to go under sheds, not appreciably more powerful and possessed of quite the...
After persevering for a few years with a plough more suited to corn ground, I've bought an old KV conventional on No3 boards to try. It should get it's 1st outing after silage. @Kevtherev's Dad has the same setup (albeit at 12 ins furrow width as opposed to my 14) and it produces some lovely...
Llanidloes road, Newtown. Well known place for bridge strikes, there used to be a signed route through the housing estates to avoid it.
Newtown bypass opened a few months ago, so can't understand what he was doing on the old road?
Cheers Neil, but I decided to cut my losses and buy a new pump when my local Wynnstay happened to have one in stock. I'll bear you in mind for the future though (haven't brought the tractor sprayer out of hibernation yet...)(y)
The Delavan pump on my Enduramaxx spot sprayer is leaking heavily where the pressure switch joins the pump housing. Guessing the diaphragm has ruptured. Anyone know if repair kits are available, or do I have to bite the bullet and replace the pump?
I can't go wider than an 8ft conventional ballast roll because of some of the lanes and gates around here. So every year around this time I get covetous about an end tow. Until that is I find out how much they are.
I had a 6120m with a 623r loader on demo a couple of weeks ago and really didn't care for it. Loader had more capacity but seemed clumsy compared to my old 633 and view to the attachment was terrible. Pallet forks vanished altogether. Also quite finicky to put on. Found despite what the lad...
Exactly. It's not many years ago all you heard on this forum and it's predecessors was how cr@p 7530s were and that what you wanted was to find a good 7810.
Tractor is still at the getting quotes stage. So probably 460/85r38 or 520. Hoping with narrow duals to keep width to 3m so can run on the road without removing (both legally and, around here, practically).
Has anyone experience of using narrow row crop type duals outside normal tractor rear tyres?
Looking into changing the tractor and I don't want to go particularly wide on the tyre front. It will spend half it's life on loader/road work, we've got some steep ground so grip is mostly more...
