I see a lot of countries worldwide planting trees to absorb carbon. I wonder how much thought has actually gone into this. Canada's forests actually emit more carbon than they capture, and I'm sure it's the same in many other countries...
Went into local dealer the other day with the intention of getting another MF 5713. After I was given a quote I quickly changed my mind. The tractor I payed $110,000 for 4 years ago is now $165,000 which is absolutely ridiculous.
They've got a couple slightly used Kubota M6 111's which are...
Have a Massey 5612 with 3700 hours, starting to shift a bit harsh in certain gears (4C has a slight shudder) and also quite harsh on the clutch. Has been calibrated many times and it smooths it out for a short period of time, from a few minutes to a few hours . Fluid /filters changed every 1000...
Looking at trying a tall fescue type Festulolium as permanent pasture and wondering if anyone is grazing it and how long it holds up? Best to use red/white clover or both with it? We are planting perennial ryegrass and white clover when we reseed now but have 80 acres of very well drained dry...
Wondering if anyone finishes store lambs on silage only, and what quality is required ? Grass not an option here as its under snow. Attached are the test results of forage I'm currently feeding lambs, not great and some is a bit dry but hoping it's enough to keep them growing without concentrates?
Recently had blood tests done on ewes to find very low selenium levels, copper just a little low and very high Molybdenum. Selenium was around .02-.03 ug/ml and recommended min is .11. Ewes and young lambs have always done very well and no white muscle (surprising to vet), but lamb growth really...
Have a Kuhn VB2160 bought new this spring, Bale size is about 15cm less than what the monitor has it set to. When set to max (160cm) it's only making a 145cm bale. Dealer has calibrated and then replaced the bale growth sensor, but still the same. Seems to have gotten worse with use, only 3000...
Have a 5612 with the electric loader joystick and I think it needs calibrating. In certain positions (on the joystick) the loader will do the opposite or violently shake until moved slightly. Anyone know a calibration procedure or will it need a visit from dealer? Thanks
