Fordson "N" and Fisher Humphries trailer plough available. both in very good unrestored condition.
Also Leyland 285, very good mechanics, but tin neads attention.
Both nr Bath.
may have found the right place to post this.
Is there anyone out there who could find space for us to park a boat and trailer for a few evenings a month? Nearer to Hayling Island the bettter.
Morning everyone, I have, as a result of the dearth of ploughing matches, purchased most of a Leyland 285! I say most because it has been standing on the coast for many years, so you can guess the state of the tin, or study the entrails it once covered! I am ,therefore seeking all the tin, and...
I am hoping to resurrect a very sad 285. Its been standing near the coast for years I am told, so the state of the tin can be imagined! Anyone have any lying about?
Can anyone let me know how these components are fitted together, a friend has one of these tractors, and there is considerable movement in the LH upper arm, in relation to the RH side.
Could one of the Ford experts on here give me a valuation on a "L" reg 4630, four wheel drive, running and in very tidy condition, Tyres rear 40% front 80%. Only known fault is an erratic fuel gauge. Been used for match ploughing for around twelve years.
Just taken delivery of a pair of the above, and the only things they share with those on the plough are the three bolt holes! I know I made my welding fixture some years ago, but I dont think it should be two inches out on the depth of the point! Any one any ideas?
How many are making plans etc to deal with the likely conditions this coming season? For myself, its likely to be staying in the shed, a real downer after only managing one match in the spring!
It would seem so! The judges seminar at North Petherton has, as the world style "clockwork mice", One top ploughman, and no less than two of the top handlers! Will points now be awarded for fingerprints of the correct type and spacing?
Last night I was informed that the southern and eastern counties have imposed this "Rule", which involves the finish being measured by a steward, and large amounts of penalty points to be awarded if its considered too deep.Does anyone have any" Horses mouth", information on this?
National entry paperwork is out. Comments on the changes, anyone? And what about the fact that plots will be drawn? Sad to see world style is down to one class now, still they should be able to fill it without me.
The grafting of a set of Marshal 502 brakes on to my Leyland 253 has been completed and it has transformed the tractor. Any one interested in doing something similar, feel free to contact me for any info .
