    No worms in DD land

The fallow part of his rotation will hurt the worms no end. Ideally he'd have grass or a diverse cover during that period.

    No worms in DD land

It seems to have been poorly managed. Regenerative ag practices including no-till, cover crops, stubble retention, minimizing chems/fert, and crop diversity in both rotation and covers, has been shown to increase water infiltration and soil stability. Like @Clive said, not all dd farms are equal.

I agree, looks fantastic and they've made some great changes. I love the low bonnet, cab layout looks good and I really love the hark back to the 2000-3000 series. If you look at 22-23:30 in that video there appears to be an auto steer engage button on the floor similar to where the John deere...

Repairing elevator web . Re using straightened bars.

We straighten digging and haulm bars on our spud diggers regularly with no ill effects. Ours never break where they've been straightened, usually only next to the rivet. Just don't use heat or they will break.

    Massey Ferguson Dyna VT

From my experience of my own and a number of other vt masseys, the behaviour of yours is unusual. There is a delay you can set on the shuttle so that it doesn't declutch immediately when you lift it, that results in the smoothest and most controlled shuttle on the market in my opinion.

Farmer Roy's Random Thoughts - I never said it was easy.

I came across this as I was doing some other research and thought it was worth sharing. It was in a publication from GrainCorp on grain aeration. I couldn't figure out how to share the whole thing.

Farmer Roy's Random Thoughts - I never said it was easy.

As far as I'm aware we don't have any roads that are layed out in a nice square grid pattern (parts of Canada and the US are the only ones that do I think). We've got some roads that are very straight and long but most follow terrain and old cart tracks/droving routes ect.

Yep, our good rain comes from the north/south west as you say, easterly weather for us is the damp, humid, misty stuff that drifts into the back of every shed and gets everything wet and rusty!
