    Fordson new major

Have you checked diesel is getting through? My Dexta lost power after a winter in the barn which was down to a blocked filter on the end of the tap under the fuel tank.

Hi Pete, I don't need one but out of interest, is it one size fit all 135/165/175 or were they different?

    Classics Earning their keep.

Its a Series 1 86'' made between 1953 and 1958. I had one till earlier in the year. Dad had a 1953 80'' which were made between 1948 and 1953 which were the same wheelbase as the Willys Jeep. The differences between the two are that on the 86'' the front wings have a join above the headlights...

    Vintage tractor insurance

Not sure about multiple policy, but I do everything through NFU as they understand it all, are good payers if needed, and you get a local office rather than a call centre. My Dexta costs £40/year comprehensive.

    MF 595 Mk2

Interesting report on the 500 series Cowbunga. I have experience of driving a 590, 565 and 550 which I quite liked...apart from getting my fingers severely pinched several times in that stupid right hand window open/close handle....which slammed shut several times with the full weight of the...

    Long forgotten Livestock Marts

Does anyone have any photos of Slough Cattle Market run by Buckland & Son? It was near Wexham Park Hospital, but gave way to housing about 30 years ago. Also Reading Cattle Market, run by Thimbleby & Shorland on Great Knollys Street? I frequented them with Dad in the 70's when I was a...

    Classics Earning their keep.

Thomas your 35 is a beauty. Although the 135 is a great machine, I much prefer driving them to a 135...better view down the bonnet and wings easier on the arms!

1952 e1a major wings single rib

Totally agree it would be wrong to give it three rib ones. I don't have any but I will be on the look out for you...
