Problem: Gen6 724
'The neutral selector of the speed range is faulty'
'The selected travel speed range is not recognised'
'The range switch is in the neutral position or the neutral position is engaged'
Was onto the tech and he directed me to the red lever to select 1-N-2 which held it in 2nd...
1st cut of silage in but ground was softish in places...nevermind the steep bits!
Fendt 724 on new Trelleborg TM1060 710/60/42 and 600/60/30 and were cutting up the sods on delivery pressure...25psi! Dropped the rears to 16psi rear and 20psi front (870kg front weight)
Forecast isn't looking too...
Got asked to diagnose a knocking engine last week and ended up changing a water pump with a 1/4" set which was achievable...but looking a 1/2" set to carry round for the limited time I'm hands on, but like something neatly packaged etc.
Previously used a Teng ratchet which was lovely in the...
After 500hrs this things leaking like the Titanic from the screw-on 3rd service couplers. If flat face are fitted how does Merlo 'float' the coupler's to fit under pressure?
I know the old Manitou you switched the ignition on and toggled the switch but doesn't seem to do anything on the...
As title, will only engage crab and front-wheel steer (mechanically and lights dash)
I assume there's a 4ws light on the dash? Pulled out the switch and all contacts good...guessing switch is only available from JCB to make a start with?
Fendt Gen7 and Valtra Q incoming...and the chances financially of changing our Fendt S4 718 diminishing :ROFLMAO:
Fendt remain Deutz engined but forced-cooling system or could we see Agcopower in the lineup? Valtra cab looks unchanged externally
Bought a 2017 car with 44k miles 4 weeks ago. Car was to be serviced prior to me collecting, salesman rang the next day to say himself and the mechanic had noticed an issue with driving and it needed to go to BMW for an EGR recall, delaying the handover for a week.
On collection, after 2 mile...
Yes...the 'h' word...the better half has bought a horsebox and for peace of mind I was going to strip and refit the floor, but the ply seems good beneath albeit there is no aluminium checker plate on it, would 3mm be thick enough?
From what I gather it's just to keep the moisture from the damp...
I've no affiliation to this company whatsoever, I came across this from a Motorsport supplier on Facebook but thought it would be bloody handy for baler/combine/forager operators and more if used when appropriate
This isn't an excuse-making post...honest😅
Acquired a 2500g slurry tanker with 800 tyres and have it on an S4 718, now conditions aren't perfect but have picked and chosen where to go (using the pickup test followed by the walk test)
On 4 occasions now I've made quite a mess suddenly, all...
The better half wanted the horsebox checked over before show season, all in good order but how often should the wheel bearings be greased, if at all, are they sealed?
Had a blowout this morning on the tanker, having real difficulty finding replacement tyres for this. Originals were Nokians. Any ideas for equivalents even? Is there a 710/60/26.5?
Having problems with foam on top of a tank, had it last year too but not before that. The foam is purging through a hole in lids in the feed passage and when we need the capacity it's a torture having to move it! Any ideas what causes this? No washings enter the tank!
Local Deutz dealer has 209litre 15W40 Deutz Super Engine oil on a 'Black Friday' deal for £370+vat...is that competitive? I imagine it will be suitable for an S4 Fendt 718?
Have no fert sown yet, and have half of the silage ground slurried.
While temperatures have risen dramatically this week there is little sunshine. Are there any advantages or disadvantages to splitting the 1st fert dose now and the second in say 3 weeks time?
