    Yes, try to rear 160 calves a year. Rear most of them September to Christmas time, so that’s probably peak number time. Come in about 2 weeks old leave fat around 2 years old.

    Yes agree, but the cattle sheds are pretty full already. I’m glad i have had a nice few fat cattle to sell this winter, they have been the light on the farm this year. The arable bit has been very disappointing since drilling barley late in April last year.
