Wood fired hot tubs, any good?

Yes I know all about sex pond antics ha. I was hoping to have them a bit DIY. Guests can fill and empty themselves and give them a hosedown at the end with deposit. No chemicals etc. At 800l for the 2 person tubs it won't take them too long off a hosepipe. More after specific info on the...

Wood fired hot tubs, any good?

Currently looking into a couple of wood fired hot tubs for our log cabins to try and boost some bookings, but it seems a bit of a minefield. Has anyone got any and how do they find them? Are there any recommendations on manufacturers or ones to avoid? Most likely looking at a couple of 2...

    RHI System Heat Meters .

Im currently looking to order one also. Ive got itron, sontex and ista meters on mine. Itrons are the only ones I havent had break yet, but with the sontex they did make it easy enough to swap out an internal module if I remember.

    Limejump problems

Yup im missing a month of data from last year. Been trying to sort it since Dec last year and they have been downright bloody useless. Still on step 0. Will be leaving as soon as my contract is up in a few months. They really have gone to crap lately.

    Panel cleaning cost

Quoted £1 a panel by the local window cleaner. Just got to put him on the roof with our cage. Been 7 years without cleaning so be interesting to see what a difference it makes.

    RHI applications and amendments.

In my experience of 3 firms its always been Ofgem holding them up and causing the problems. But yeah you may be right, if the consultants arent literally chasing them 2-3 times a week then nothing gets done and things end up sitting.

    RHI applications and amendments.

Ofgem? They are a bloody joke. Took us nearly 2 years to do a simple ammendment and get payments resumed. They need a rocket up their arse for sure.

Screening slivers/long strips out of chip - Star/Disc screen?

Screening slivers/long strips out of chip - Star/Disc screen?

Yeah I don't really want to have to go through the hassle of changing chipper if we can come up with a simplish solution. However it wouldnt be totally ruled out if nothing else worked.

Screening slivers/long strips out of chip - Star/Disc screen?

100mm long is about the longest our augers seem to cope with, we get strips anywhere from 20-30cm up to nearly a meter. Added a pic.

Screening slivers/long strips out of chip - Star/Disc screen?

Cheers for the info. Looks cheap enough to try and give it a go I suppose. Is there much to say between the gyrating ones vs the vibrating? I guess vibrating more chance for the longs to bounce and go through? Went and had a look at the forestry show today not a lot in the way of screens...
