C dax slug master, sowing grass seed

Don't know, I've asked Bullock but they've not got back to me. FETF only applies to certain models I think as the hopper needs to be a minimum size, maybe 300l, which rules out Stocks. Don't quote me, I looked into it weeks ago and I've slept since then.

C dax slug master, sowing grass seed

I've not had much success with one mounted on the back of a Gator, the seed's too light and blows everywhere including mostly back into the cab. Might be better on a quad. Given the cost of the seed now I'm toying with investing in a proper air seeder to mount on the Einbocks.

Capital grants - Farming Equipment and Technology Fund 2024

I’d like to fit an air seeder to our einbock tines. Anyone done that and successfully got a grant? Any recommendations on makes, e.g. bullock, stocks etc?

George Monbiot, TFF in 'The Guardian'.

He made a total cockend of himself I thought, he’s just incapable of putting a rational point across without descending into chippy prejudiced bullsh*t. I don’t know how anyone can take him seriously. And yet, they do ☹️

Latest Crime Wave In South East

This is probably the long and the short of it. We all talk bravely of defending our property but the reality is that we do see ourselves as helpless. The “authorities” seem either powerless or unwilling to tackle the problem. I’d bet real money that before long, some farmer or just a law abiding...

Join BFU. We must stand together

I'd chuck another few quid at this as a one off, if all of the current members did the same just to try and get the thing launched, it would probably be achievable. And that in itself could be the basis of press coverage - "farmers are so hacked off with the current regime that they're prepared...

Join BFU. We must stand together

I know this is done with the best of intentions and I happily gave up a tenner for it, but with all due respect, it won't reach a critical mass until there's some proper publicity. What the BFU needs is some press coverage, in FW, Farmers Guardian, SW Farmer etc. I don't know how to do this but...

    2wd quad?

Thanks for all of the replies, looks like an Ozark is top choice. Anyone got one to sell to me??

    2wd quad?

You may be right, it was a solid old workhorse. I was just hoping to find something a little quicker and more nimble, but I’ve never tried a 2wd 250 hence the question.

    2wd quad?

Coming to the conclusion that I could do with a quad. We have a Polaris ranger which is great, but it’s often got a sprayer on it and is being used for stuff every day. I just want something small and economical to whizz about with checking sheep. Needs to be road registered but unlikely to ever...

Managing casual staff with changing weather forecasts?

Maybe looking for the wrong guys? Unemployed or ad hoc available youngsters are usually available for a reason. The good ones are busy. I’ve got a couple of blokes in their sixties who come and help out as and when. Both experienced, steady and competent, as you’d expect. Downside is I wouldn’t...

    Re wilded roundabouts

Apparently it's ok for local authorities to grow great big banks of ragwort all over the roadsides, its jolly nice for bugs to live in. As long as those unscrupulous farmers and landowners spend loads of time and money and effort controlling theirs.

    Smart rain gauge

Any recommendations? I could do with a couple as we’ve two blocks of ground that are far enough apart to have quite different rainfall. Both stations could pick up a Wi-Fi signal.

    Which Flail mower to buy

I've had one of their small flails for years, I think it's 6' wide. It's basic but it's done a huge amount of work and it's not died yet. Also Les at Agrimech is as straight as they come.

Beef / Lamb & Pig Price Tracker

Interesting result. I’ve always kept a few as a bit of a hobby really but they’re so low maintenance, I’m tempted to cross them maybe with some llyns, try and get the weight up a bit. They’re an underrated breed in my view. Black Lambs Matter. I’ve seen it on the news. I think.

    VW Touareg.

Bought mine mainly to use as a car, with a bit of towing, but somehow it turned into the farm runabout. Not been stuck yet. I really rate it but the parts aren’t cheap.
