    Shed door options

Going to put up a shed over the next while & am thinking of door options. Shed will be 36'ish wide & be in between 2 others, clear span with a beam across, our normal approach would be sliding doors opening each side but not really an option on 1 side. It's kinda doable on the other side with a...

    JCB 3 ton ram problem

Bought a JCB 813 plus a while back & when the main ram gets to within the last couple of inches of lift it slows to a crawl, pump is labouring as normal, thought it might be a seal in the ram so took it to local hyd place as bucket ram was leaking but still the same. Revs make no difference...

    WI-FI bridge link

Going to put a bridge link ( see photo ) from the house to shed No:1 for a camera, did it before but changed internet to a SIM card router in house so starting again. Two questions really, if I set the house up as an access point would that extend the wi-do into the yard, and around shed 1? If I...

    McConnell control switches

Anybody got a sorce for McConnell control box switches like what was on a PA93 back in the early ninetys, or is it a dealer job? Even something similsr would do. Have a cable controlled PA500 here which got new cables a few years back & 2 of the 3 are sticking. Have a electric 4 port valve...

    Claas/MF spool preblem.

Have an 2007 Claas 697 with manual spools & have a problem with No: 1 spool. It will pump oil out through both ports but only let oil back in through 1 port, had a bit of a look at it yesterday & it behaves like there is a 1 way valve in the offending port, had to slacken the pipe off to get the...

    Calf won't suck

Have a calf born about a week ago, put it on the cow when it was born but didn't want to suck, felt the belly & thought it full enough to have sucked on it's own. Noticed it starting to get skinny so topped it up with a bag, thinking the cow maybe didn't have enough, then this morning noticed it...

Best & Worst Photo of the Year.

Might be an idea for a decent thread as different folk like different things. 2 photos, one good, one bad for whatever reason, it's more about the reason than the quality of the pic. I'll start with the worst, self explanatory really. First time I've went over & hopefully the last, happened in...

    Concrete over clay

Have a mound of clay that has been sitting 10+ years & plan to take the top off it & make a concrete slab to put mobile grain drier on. Rather than dig down and then fill up with hardcore rubble and stones, was thinking of just stripping off the clay, then 6” of concrete with reinforced mesh...

    Merlo joystick

Have a 2005 Merlo & the joystick has just started to travel a lot more in it's stroke, moreso when lowering, has also started to rotate a bit like it's loose. Haven't looked at it yet, just looked below the boot & the whole lever looks to be rotating. Haven't the time to look more at the moment...

    A new bodge shed

New & bodge in the same sentence :eek: Had an old shed we used to keep cattle in beside the crush, was built around 78~9 as a pighouse then the internal walls were ripped out, was still being used the odd time for cattle going to mart, sick animal beside crush, or at the end of the year...

    Silotite penny pinching rant

We have been baling contractors for the past 30 odd years & in that time, other than the odd sample or trial roll every bale has been wrapped with silotite. A few weeks back the brother went to our supplier for another pallet, as he has done for years. As soon as he got it out on to the main...

Viewing calving camera over the internet

Have put in a calving camera over this past while with a bridge link from shed to farmhouse, fought with it for a while but got there in the end. I can view it fine over the home network (BT) in the farmhouse but as I live 50 odd feet away I would ideally like to view it over the internet. Have...
