Does anyone know the part number for the Monroe cab springs that fit where the shockers are on a 6480. I know people have fitted them on here instead of the mf supplied ones at a fraction of the cost, and mf probably get them from one of these firms in the first place. Cheers
Is anyone spreading diamond 33.5 n 30 s with a Amazon zav on v set 2 discs on 21 metre? The app settings seem to be way out, I am going to get someone from Amazone to come out seeing as we are not miles away from there base but just curious if anyone has any settings of there own.
We need to get a certain amount of crops in as we need the straw for cattle, but some is already going in to SFI and could well be more to follow yet. We can do well with spring barley here but totally reliant on getting rain when you need it come may and June, we are also doing some drainage...
Yes I was kicking myself last October for not getting more drilled but so glad we didn't as it's turned out, also decided not to put any rape in at the last minute and again it was the right thing to do, it's just been impossible to do anything with all this wet on the heavier land, I'd rather...
Think it's anybody's guess at the minute, lots can happen yet, lot's of spring wheat planned to go in around here but unless we get some good drying weather soon nothing will be planted in march and yields will taper off quickly with later sown. Then if we do get a drought to follow this then...
Never known it so wet in north notts, water stood in most fields, started raining last July and not really stopped. Hardly any decent crops about, a fair few farms haven't planted any cereals, some had a go on the frost a few weeks back and it's all now looking like a swamp. Most of the rape has...
As already said, some diggers get shockingly abused so condition and wear is more important than anything. For what it's worth we have a little Hitachi and it's been a great little digger, starts well, loads of power and been very reliable.
We got a 7718 a couple of years back, tractor hadn't done much work but one of the spools was a sod for spitting the pipes out when you was putting machines on. We put new ends on the tractor and new ends on the machines that we needed too, still made no difference! I noticed though that the...
Can't be more than 25% planted around us, of that my best guess is that at least half will be no good, I know of 4 local farms that haven't planted a grain, I haven't been in a field since the 10th of October, water still stood in every field you drive past.
I seem to be struggling with sample and more losses than normal in wheat this year, tried every setting going and got it acceptable now. Ours is a NH CX and find that it loves to crack grains so I'm running drum 750 concave between 12 and 30 depending on conditions, sieves 10 and 7 and fan...
Yes all the winter wheat is ready now, and some spring barley but no chance of combining the spring barley the ground is that wet, going to be a case of just picking driest Fields first now and hope we don't sink! Going to be a harvest to remember this one I fear🙈
Same here, tried to cut last field of winter barley last Sunday, nearly got stuck so pulled out, maybe should of persevered a big longer after this week's rain on top of it, really not looking good, got the osr done at least and came in dry and yielded ok so have to be thankful for that.
I'm finding similar with extase and Dawsum, same field drilled same day first wheat after osr, I've always thought the extase would out yield the Dawsum but lot's of ears in the Dawsum now, the thing of worry for me is in the dry spell the Dawsum has clearly started to go off in patches due to...
Our 6480 had an issue when we bought it, would just pick the power harrow up while going down the field when it wanted too, we put a new rocker switch in, it didn't cure it, turned out to be the position sensor, we just unplugged it, cleaned it up put some electrical spray on it and it sorted...
