Thanks,
We do about 600 bales of silage, both whole crop and grass. As well as about 200 bales of hay. Nothing is chopped
Im looking for second hand this time around, as well as a wrapper.
We currently have some soft centre bales feeding out. Our unroller is a set of spikes on a hydraulic motor...
We are looking to bring our baling in-house and are looking for a good second hand round baler that will give us a good hard centre as we use a bale unrolled for feeding.
Can anyone point me in the direction of a baler that would fit the bill?
Started grazing it about 3 weeks ago, then cut the rest for silage which yielded well , aiming to drill about 60 acres this autumn with a similar 6 way mix of oats, peas, vetch, barley, kale and beans. The cows loved it and it grew well and pushed the original grass on as well. It also looks...
Hi, I have just picked up on this thread. We are doing a form of pasture cropping here on tired permanent pasture.
We drilled in oats, beans, wheat and vetch on the 1st of November as a trial and possibly some early grazing. It took really well, no slugs or crows as to them it was still a field...
It is now about 6 inches tall, we are farming organically and will mob graze it all off in the spring, going to try a 20 species crop in the spring. We are aiming to boost our tonnage of dry matter and give the soil a boost. All this has had is green waste compost in mid October
We direct drilled oats, beans, peas, vetch and wheat into 6 ha of permanent pasture on November the 1st. We didn’t spray off as it was for a grazing trial and to boost a bit of biodiversity. It looks really good but did go on at 200kg/ha as I wanted to use up what was in the store. All was untreated
Hi I am looking for an organic mix of seed for a cover crop. Ideally it would have the following in it
Sorghum
Maize
Millet
Quinoa
Beans
Peas
Sunflower
And anything else that can be added
We are in Somerset aiming to direct drill into existing permanent pasture in the spring. It will be...
Hi I have just bought a 4 metre bettinson drill but don’t have a manual. Does anyone have one I could borrow to scan and copy?
Also looking for seed sponges as well
Cheers
