The utility companies are looking at alternatives to landspreading in any case. I don't think incineration will be involved but other methods like gasification/pyrolysis would make more sense.

It does, yes. Although many of those I deal with have low Nitrate-N content so aren't particulalry affected.

I have one client in the recycling sector that is paying for waste inputs. They can then control the quality of the inputs, and therefore the outputs, better.

We do now, small scale at the moment but it's gaining traction.

It's the contamination that's the issue. For far too long UK plc has relied on cheap recycling/disposal abroad. This option is now ending and has brought in to sharp focus how short of facilities we are. Slowly there are domestic options appearing, but what with planning, permitting and NIMBYs...
