Does anyone know what should be fitted in this hole on the cover of the hydraulic pump ? Someone replaced the pump and seemed to have misplaced this? Bolt? Sender unit? Was filled with silicone but that didn't hold and is now pissing oil out when running
Same Silver 130, three point linkage lifts really slowly. Like barely able to see it move
But drops down like it should
Not a problem with the pump, pushing 200 on the gauge if plugged into the remotes
Disconnected the lift linkage to see if it may be binding somewhere but wasn't that either...
They offloaded a 1999 JCB 3CX 4x4 digger from a client in the yard this morning
It still has the 4 Speed mechanical transmission
Problem is, it doesn't seem to want to shift
I got it with the gearlever removed and laying loose in the cab
Seems like they have it in one gear (don't know which...
Went to look at an IH 785 tractor today. I have no experience on these unfortunately.
Tractor won't move, if you put it in gear it seems like the clutch is slipping? It wants to move but doesn't.
Do they all have the TA transmission? I looked but couldn't find a lever for it somewhere?

Guys, next time you are on YouTube again, check out this channel. Lots of old promotional films of tractors and machinery. Very interesting to see. From MFs to David Browns and everything in between
We have a 2645 here with the Perkins 354 turbo engine and it has absolutely no power. Previous owner had the injection pump overhauled because it was getting fuel in the engine oil. Could they have done something wrong when reconditioning the pump? Could it be a timing problem? We have replaced...
Just a question for the guys with experience of forage wagons? Can they be used for picking up swathed oats/triticale? We don't do grass silage around here ,mostly silage from cereals. Don't really know much about wagon silage, they are pretty scarce over here in South Africa. What are these...
You lot that know more about these tractors, are they positive ground or negative ground? Doesn't have a battery in at the moment and don't want to blow something up. I recall something like they have positive ground?
Anyone running a high hour T6070? This one has spent all its life on a feed mixer at large feedlot. Has 16600 hours on the clock. Has front brakes, cab and front suspension which I believe was an option. How are they? I don't mind the high hours, as long as the price is right.
Neighbour called me to have a look at his 399. Engine had a knocking noise and then a bang .Turns over but won't run. Just had a look and I can turn the engine by hand with the fan?
Would one of these work for wettish chicken shite and dry feedlot manure ? I have never been near one of these spreaders and don't really know how they work. Would they work better than one with chains in the bottom and spinners only ? Anyone have one or run one ? Thanks
Anyone running or has experience on one of the above? One coming up for sale locally and not many about around here. What year were they? Capacity, this one has a 24 ft front. What NH combine would they compare with?
Maybe I should just get a girlfriend to keep me entertained, but while sitting on the tractor today I had this bright idea. Building a small articulated loader from Land Rover parts ! I haven't thought this completely through yet, so don't get too technical. What I want to know is are the rear...
What would be the best round baler for baling short straw ? Currently baling with a Claas Rollant 250. It works but I lose a lot of straw from between the rollers. That will give an idea on how short the straw is we are baling. Was thinking about a Kuhn belt baler, but they have only just been...
Thinking of upgrading tractors next year, mostly pulling round baler and loader work. Which of the two above mentioned tractors would be a better buy ? The Deere would most probably have more hours on it for the same price as the NH.I am not that familiar with the transmission types on the NH...
