I have an intermittent spool fault on my 4220. Sometimes they work fine, other times there is no response from the spool valves, coupled with inactive PTO. Screen recognises the paddle movement so can’t be the switch gear. I have changed both looms in the rear fenders under advice, but it hasn’t...
For numerous reasons I am back to binder shopping.
Having sold my TX66 and gone with contractor for a year, I’m nursing my way back into the bosom of combine ownership. No regrets in selling the 66, cheap combining for the 5 years I had it and sold for more than purchased.
I have been to look...
Evening all,
Recent storm has given my old pole barn a different appearance to a point where I just want to rip the rest of it down with a digger to tidy up the eyesore.
I want to replace it with a steel frame building of the same size.
Are photographs of existing building, however damaged...
Evening all,
Is anyone running a new tier 5 tm320s? I’m looking for driver opinions before I get a demo.
I reluctantly want to change my trusty TM300 and not particularly keen on a second hand 320 that has been worked hard. Low houred machines on the second hand market seem very hard to come...
I am tired of chasing the 100 or so cattle I have around a yard with tied up gates and machines parked in gaps.
I intend to make a cattle handing system to make the job better.
I will be using Armco crash barriers, 3 high.
My questions are two fold.
Firstly, what do people use as posts for...
I seem to have inherited about 60 years worth of old silage bales. Year on year the rubbish has been pushed to the back of the clamp, resulting in an huge mound of probably 400+ bales. Many have rotted down to unrecognisable shapes, but the mix of plastic, netwrap, string and earth renders it...
There’s has been many debates over the years around the true cost of running older SP Sprayers. Just over two years ago I bought a 2004 chafer mirage with 7000hrs on the clock, and now it has been sold i have gone through my accounts and I can offer an accurate result of the figures. These...
My new Fastrac came with RTK guidance. It’s all there ready to go.
I had intended to just use Centrepoint RTX, but seeing as I’ve got a system capable of RTK, it almost seems criminal to waste it.
That said, without a base station nearby m my options appear to be - Sim RTK, mobile station, and...
New to me fastrac, one thing I’ve noticed is the rear lift arms are deathly slow to go down. Front links go up and down like a fiddlers elbow, but the rear are painful. I’ve turned up the speed under the armrest. Any one else notice this?
Does anyone run BKT ride max tyres on a tractor? Looking at tyre options for a Fastrac 4220 and they could be a contender given the large amount of road work anticipated.
I would be interested to know if others have them, and if they found them limiting when in field applications for drilling etc.
Looking for sensible valuations of my New Holland TX 66 which sadly may be for sale this year.
1998 but registered 2004
2700 threshing hours
20ft auto level header & trolley
Auto levelling sieves
650 tyres
Later type flip up rotary screen
Electric mirrors and cameras etc
Chopper
Chaff spreader...
Following my thread regarding the disappointing performance of my Claas arion 650 when towing recently, I come to you again with a question for fastrac owners.
Regularly towing near the maximum legal weight is becoming the norm more and more, and the fastrac appeals to me for many other reasons...
I took my new low loader and excavator on a trip today which was within, but close, to the legal limit.
I found that the weight didn’t boss the tractor, but the performance on hills was dreadful. I haven’t done much heavy hauling with it, but couldn’t believe how gutless it was, down to 12k on...
A short while ago I commented on another thread regarding the value for money of Martin’s UTV products, combination LED headlamps.
I was sceptical as to whether they were worth the price tag attached to them, so Martin kindly offered me a trial of the units to see for myself.
The pictures below...
Looking for a digger to leave at a block of land to sort out ditches and tracks etc. Doesn’t need to be pretty, but mechanically cared for. Would like to spend no more than £5k so I am aware of the kind of machine I should expect. Thanks
