Hi guys,
A friend is going to look at a Ford 4000 which has power steering, but not the aftermarket type, but the same as on a 4600.
Did the 4000 come with power steering as an option?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for the replies. It looks like it’s definitely more involved than I thought. I bought the windscreen not thinking it was such a tight fit. It came out so easy 😅
I agree it’s not great weather to tackle it. We’ll give it a shot, but I think it may be a job for the dealer. I’ll let you...
Hi all,
Would anyone know the process to replace the windscreen in a 6430 standard. Does the bonnet need to come off?
Any insight would be really appreciated
thanks
👍
Yea we’re going late in the evening, and early morning, but not 2:30 early (or late). 😰
we’re going with 10 units of N and 2.5 kg hectare not sure if it’s too little or too much. And this dry spell throws another variable in the mix.
I’m curious to know if anyone is using Epsom salts (magnesium sulphate) in their mix to help with nitrogen take up?
We’ve started recently but with this dry spell growth rates are slow. So hard to tell if it’s doing anything.
That’s a nice looking crop.
@scholland could I ask how much N was applied, and was it in a single application of granular and foliar, or multiple foliar?
I’m looking to boost some silage ground that hasn’t come on as well as the rest.
Thanks.
I’m in Cork too, looked at a 7 series hours are high, but it seems in good shape. If the person you used is interested would you pm their contact details? Thanks.
Could it be your clutch pedal?
If the spring has become weak and doesn’t bring it back fully to activate the switch you’ll see the error below. Try putting your foot under the clutch pedal and pulling it back to see if it goes away.
Hi guys,
I’m relatively new to the topic. we’re looking into foliar feeding this year (trying to counteract the price increase) using granular fertiliser.
Is there any guidance re dilution rates for grass, kg/100 litre. As far as I can understand there is a sweet spot between too diluted...
I have used these guys for a loom for a 4600, looks like they do DB ones too.

@milton-95 we had an issue with the injectors on Deutz engine in a Fendt.
It would throw a Fuel Rail Pressure out of range error. Initially on freezing winter mornings, when it would come under load, but once the tractor was warm, no more issues. It began to get a bit worse over a long period...
This mightn’t be applicable, but .. if it has a hand pump you could try pumping that before starting, building up pressure on the line. It will take a bit of pumping until you feel firm resistance, then start. Or even better keep pumping and get someone else to start it? It would diagnose leak...
