I've got a lot of steel fence posts to bang in.
Has anyone experience of hand held petrol engined post knockers? There seem to be a lot available and none from big brands. Prices varying from £250ish overtly Chinese to nearly £2k probably rebadged Chinese.
Or should I just hire one for £100/week...
Farmers' protest party win shock Dutch vote victory
The above headline from the BBC news website (yes really).
And part of the story below.
A farmers' party has stunned Dutch politics, and is set to be the biggest party in the upper house of parliament after provincial elections.
The...
A couple of my tractors have just come out of warranty. Does anyone recommend someone to do the necessary to delete the need for ad blue. I hasten to add that these machines never go on the road. Thanks.
Farmer and author James Rebanks’ Farm is hosting several reports on this morning’s Today programme on Radio 4.
Worth a listen I think, he’s a good Farming ambassador.
I wonder how many of us were awake and tuned into Radio 4 to hear the whole of Farming Today with one Clive Bailye on about his farm and TFF. Well done. Also well done to @Robt.
I expect someone cleverer than me will put up a link.
I had an interesting chat with my vet this afternoon on his quarterly visit.
As a specialist pig vet he has quite a bit of experience of how viruses can behave.
With some viruses, the severity of disease can be affected by the level of the initial dose of the infection. I.e., if an animal is...
Does any one on here have experience of sourcing vehicle trackers as used in the haulage industry?
I've had a few quotes today, all sub £10 per unit per month, it seems that they have come down quite a lot from last time that I looked and I think that they would be really handy fitted to my...
I’m experiencing problems with the supply of a desperately needed water tank from a well known plastic tank manufacturer.
Is anyone else having similar trouble?
I'm looking to simplify my paperwork. I find doing the payroll a PITA. Does anyone use payroll bureau service? Can anyone recommend any one in particular? Possibly prefer to use one local to me (North of Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk) but not necessarily. I have four employees.
I have a 2016 Claas Scorpion 7035.
A couple of times now we've had a problem with the pick up hitch resulting in the machine only being able to travel at snail pace.
I believe that Claas/Kramer is having problems stopping this recurring.
Has anyone else experienced this?
My work taking twice...
I've just seen the best Countryfile report ever. Adam visited the two blokes in Dorset renting 900 acres on a 5year FBT and milking 700+ cows outside all year round through a large portable herringbone. Awesome. Just like Hosier, Paterson, Cherrington, Street and many others did from the 1930s on.

I've consciously avoided the added value route, but the story of this man and his Ginger Pig business is fascinating.
I need to install a short, temporary roadway for HGV access for loading pigs from my outdoor pig breeding site. Only about 20 metres in length and access is needed all year round. Hardcore is out of the question as the land will be returned to cropping in two years time.
Locating the loading...
