    200L Blue Drums

Cut off third of way up. Then force the smaller part into the deeper section to create an indestructible calf cake tub off the floor. Add bit of gravel or sand to stop it moving so easily. Bolt through to stop it moving. Then facebook for the rest

mice in electrical boxes best prevention methods

Moth balls. Mice hate them. Or lime apparently. No eyelids and they can’t stand it in their eyes. Both of those might be folklore 🤷🏼‍♂️

NH T6 free flow return location

Yep loader plumbed in. I wondered if it might require an adaptation to that swept elbow. Thanks very much

NH T6 free flow return location

Need to plumb free flow return for new rake. Where does it go in here? There’s a bolt next to top link bracket but won’t be easy to access

    Fire Pump

If you’ve got air brakes could pressurise the drum with a pipe to the bottom for outlet? Not sure what pressure and flow you would achieve but simple

Cow intakes on self locking yokes

We have 60’ of headlocks for vet visits and the rest bar. Cows eat significantly less in headlock section. I’d be reluctant to change to all headlocks

    Parlour lights

We tried this and it was ok but row of LED strip lights over your head was much better in long run. More light the better for spotting problems. LED on teat brush also a good job

    Feeder wagon

Our siloking was special synthetic gearbox oil. I think we used it once then 80-90 standard stuff after that. Scary expensive. Pump it in I think or fill very slowly. Probably a plug underneath to allow air out for a while. Think it has a breather under the auger but can’t remember and spec...

    Lowloader/bale trailer build

Who’s building it for you? Decent strap box. Could put air bags on drawbar suspension to let it down further when loading. I’d put on mini super singles rather than twin wheels. So much better off road.

For you , David Brown fans. The new one.

NH cab. What’s the rest made from? Presumably various components with engine from here and transmission from there. Just assemble and add some error codes

    Buckraking charges

I get £200/hr when going well on mowing and not the biggest rig. That’s where it needs to be to pay for these big toys. They only work a few days per year so need to earn some money to make it worth it

    Milk Price Tracker

The spring got flushed. Most fert is still in the shed and grazing herds stuck in sheds. Milk Price too low to drive production from purchased feed. Should restrict production for the whole summer as the drought kicks in.

    Flat face hydraulic couplings

I borrowed a loader on another farm to load some straw. Had one conventional coupling on one side and then walked round the other side of the machine to put the other side on!
