    Beet price is out for next year, £19 and a few pence. Guess they want British farmers to drop it? Looking at alternative spring breaks, we have winter wheat, spring barley, rapeseed and potatoes. We have dropped beans already for next year as the don’t really pay. What options are there?

    I've had one of my merchants talking to me about the merit of HEAR versus OO varieties. I'm being told that yield is near on no different to conventional and there are some good looking contracts available plus a £35 premium over OO fosfa bonuses. What's peoples thoughts?
