As per title, I have recently bought a Weidemann 1370 cx50. There are a few bits needing sorting on it. I've looked via google and ebay for parts for it but can only find filters. Where else could I find parts for the machine? T.I.A

Fixings to keep gates straight help please.

My wife and I rent a barn and rear calves up in it. We usually do pens that are 22feet long. This means we have one gate hung on girders and then the next and front gates are all on the ground, tied up with string and more often than not, never staying straight. I'm not a technical person but...

Need ideas for a cheep wheel loader.

Afternoon everybody. As the title says, I'm looking for a cheap wheel loader. I've spoken to a few dealers and they are quoting 21k upwards for a machine. Unfortunately our finances just wont stretch that far. The reasons for wanting a wheel loader are.....we rear calves in a barn and need a...

    More calf advice needed please.

We have recently started calf rearing on a small scale. Talking about 35 in at highest count. Idea was to get them in around 2 week old, get them to weaning, give them a week or two to adjust and then send them to auction. First batch went well, last two batches not so well. I know there are...

Temporary girder brackets for hanging gates.

Hi guys. Please move if this is in the wrong spot. We have been allowed to keep calves in an old barn. Not looking for animal advice etc. We don't want to be drilling holes in the walls really, welding could be an option but as it's not our barn don't want to be making permanent changes...

Can I take someone else's lamb with ours to slaughter.

As the title suggests, what are the legalities of us taking a lamb to the slaughter from some one else when we take ours in? Is it allowed? Do they need to stay separate? Also, what about taking a neighbours goats with our sheep(in separate compartments) I'm sorry if it's a stupid question but...

    Costings of small haylage bales.

My wife and I are having "discussions" about wether it's cost effective to get some grass baled. Long story short, we have been given an opportunity to rent more land than our current amount of sheep can handle. We are looking to up the sheep numbers over time but for this year we have 20 acres...

    Split hooves?

Any idea why this is happening and how best to deal with it? We have a Suffolk and a Mule, limping badly and splits high up on the hoof. No obvious heat or swelling indicating infection.
