    HM TRAILERS

We hired on about 10 years ago. Was very happy with it. They were designed to tip in low sheds. Hinge point much closer to rear axle than most designs so back of body lowers when being tipped. Potentially not ideal for things other than grain.

    Open Field and cmg

CMG is not Camgrain or anything to do with Camgrain. Openfield were the marketing agent for both, but now it appears neither If you want to know more about CMG I cam explain.

    12.9 bolts and 8.8 nuts

You can get 14.something bolts. They tend to be cap heads. We use them as shear bolts on our Naud plough. We just use 8.8 nuts to keep them tight.

    Electric cars aren't the future

I disagree. Have you seen the JCB 3CX Hydrogen? Hydrogen is the future for commercial vehicles IMO, and electric cars will vie with hydrogen in the small vehicle market

    Hemlock control

I have it in places - MCPA usually sorts it out in cereals. Check latest crop growth stage.

    T1 chem mix

Seems a bit OTT to me. But variety, location, GS, yield expectation, plant popln, current disease pressure, T0?, drilling date, budget, etc etc would be helpful. We will be going with Revystar or similar at 0.8 - 1.0 plus the PGRs, Mn, Mg and a low rate cheap SU for BLW.

How many of you block rights of way?

We had solar park permission turned down as it blocked the view. I said is there anything to stop me planting trees there, which would block the view. The answer was 'No'. Belt of trees is now being seriously considered on a matter of principal.

    Spring drilling

Just finished spraying off the spring seedbeds, only 13% will go now, another 15% in a couple of days, and the rest will be a week of drying weather.:banghead::banghead: 2018 we drilled S Bly on 24th April and it did 6.4 t/ha malting Propino. So I'm not giving up yet. Probably my most...

    twb machinery

Had similar trouble with Tim Howard about 15 years ago He then accused me of harrassing him......well if he'd answer the phone!! He still owes me a grand. I hope Philip Watkins has sorted it out as it needed to be.

    Solar rent

I am always amazed the number of people worried about solar parks bu66ering up drains. As if the rent at 5x agricultural wasn't enough. IF they ever get removed then the area will need a new drainage scheme anyway.

    Spring drilling

I meant the tractor tyres on the tractor! Does it give more grip when reversing out of a wet spot? I've seen combines like that.

    How much isn’t getting planted

A Friend farms in the centre of France. Just as wet out there. His sandy soils are bottomless and he got set more than once spinning on fert last week.

    Amarok steering issue

Mine might be a different issue. Fine when cold. The further you go the worse it gets until it becomes almost impossible to steer. Had a job to steer it at all to park it at the garage.

    Amarok steering issue

Interesting I have exactly the same issue on my 2018 Amarok. Going to the local indy tomorrow so it could be an expensive day.
