cheers for that info.
I’ve since found that one of the slave cylinders which was fitted last year has failed (grrr) so I will replace that to start with, then decide on whether to do the pads.
keeps me out of trouble!
question for you Renault boys:
I replaced the slave cylinders recently and the brakes were adjusted. Since then I’ve had problems with the brakes binding. I backed them off at the adjuster, but then the brakes were crap. there is also a grinding noise from time to time, so me thinks there may...
Hiya,
the coolant on my Renault is due a change. There is blue coolant in there now. Should I replace with blue again, or could I replace with a longer lasting coolant type?
thanks

Hi
the spool block is leaking on my loader. Thinking of stripping it down to replace seals. Is this an easy job to do and would anyone know if there is a seal kit available.
cheers

Hi all,
I have an old knackered 2230 quicke loader fitted to my case 1394 by the standard quicke side brackets. Would a quicke 2300 E system fit on the same tractor brackets? Not sure what the E system refers to?
thanks
The rivets are just a domed metal head, no screw head.
I can see the bottom of the brass threads from the rear of the unit, so screw heads have to be beneath the top covers. The covers do move slightly but I can’t see how they would come over the rivet head without possible damage to the...
Thanks for the blow up pic. I have a 90-34, but I would imagine the part is the same. Shame the detail is limited.
Fraid the black rivet heads are metal and won’t budge.
I have taken another pic looking under the gauges, but it is not too clear. You should be able to see the brass threads of...
No, there are 2 securing screws on the circuit board under the gauges.
I can see 3 screws under each guage, but I cannot get the picture covers off to access the screws.
I can see through the back with a torch and the rear of the bulb holder is wider than the hole, so has to come out of the back. The loose bulb is the one is tried to pull out from front with no luck.
Could I do a continuity test on the circuit board to check the bulb? I can see the live feed...
Ok cheers.
To get to the back I need to take out the fuel and temp units. Anyone know how do I get these off. They seem to be screwed down and I can’t get the top covers off to access the screws. The covers have some movement but will not come off, they seem to be held by the two small black...
Hi,
I’m struggling to replace a bulb in a Renault jaeger unit. I’ve tried easing bulb out of holder, but it won’t move.
Then thought bulb would come out of the back, but cannot get the temp and fuel guage off, to access screws beneath to get circuit board out.
Can anyone help please?
Hi there,
I have an old quicke 2230 loader on my caseih 1394 2wd.
Thinking of changing it and have seen a quicke 4300 for sale. Would this loader be too big for my caseih?
Cheers.
Had response from an ex-Renault dealer. DOT 4/5 is the right brake fluid up the Ares model when it moved to LHM. Dealer suspects my seals have just perished with age.
Time to get the hands dirty!
would that be LHM oil? I know my case 1394 takes that, but i have an operators manual for a similar Renault and it states to use DOT 4. That's why i used it.
It does feel like the seals could have gone in the master cylinder, would DOT4 do that?
cheers.
Hi Guys,
The brakes on the Renault have gone soft and only just stop the old bus. I tried to bleed them thinking there was air in the brake fluid, but can only get a small amount of fluid out of each nipple before it stops, even though following the correct tighten/loosen procedure of the...
