    Turned Down wellies

I turn mine down on a lathe. Still, taking an inch off the top of her ‘kinky boots’ apparently cured Nicola Sturgeon’s crotch pain.

Gloucester area - not a shooting permission wanted, but the use of 100m length of field margin (rent)

I’ve got an Optisan CP 3-12 32 on there for HFT, a nice bit of glass for the money. Thank you anyway Sir, much appreciated.

Gloucester area - not a shooting permission wanted, but the use of 100m length of field margin (rent)

Thanks fella! I shoot sub 12 (RAW HM1000, if you’re not familiar it is a modern Theoben Rapid derivative). Grouping at 100m will be fairly poor, probably a 4” circle. At 50m it is consistently inside a 10p coin. The reason for asking for 100m length is safety more than an intention to shoot out...

Gloucester area - not a shooting permission wanted, but the use of 100m length of field margin (rent)

Hi stroller, I have a portable pellet catcher I made with a lead backstop. 99% of pellets stick, the few that drop are caught in the base of itS carry case. It stops them like a fly hitting an oil tanker.

Gloucester area - not a shooting permission wanted, but the use of 100m length of field margin (rent)

Hi chaps, I’m an air rifle shooter. I know the forum gets snowballed by folks wanting to shoot over your land (or wave metal detectors over it). I’m looking for a field (or just a margin) near to Gloucester that I can set targets over to (minimum) 50m, preferably 100m. I’m more than willing to...

Anyone on here work in design for a tractor manufacturer?

Long shot, but who knows..... Spent all of Monday at Case New Holland talking about under-hood heat management solutions (gas tractor project) and we have so much to offer for conventional tractors too. As said, long shot, but if you are a designer / system architect then hit me up. Ta.

'Cowshed Cinderella' - wins £1.3million from her parents

Things like this that break your heart. Family will never talk again, business in ruins. No substitute for talking with your kids and being straight with them.

Anyone near Gloucester (GL1) got some firewood?

@skinnyhoskins They seem to have been taken over and now have no digital footprint I can interact with. Worrying for Ross Feeds folks from where I sit (hope I've got it wrong).

Anyone near Gloucester (GL1) got some firewood?

O.K. Raggie's been a silly sod and forgot to stock up. Only run a domestic burner but I'm out of wood and no bugger will deliver before Christmas. Anyone got a trailer of hardwood they want to sell / deliver? If it's decent wood then I'm not fussed about it being chopped to stove lengths. As...

    Ssangyong musso

I have no real-world experience whatsoever, apart from having my eyes melt when I see one on the road. SsangYong, purveyors of the fuggliest vehicles of the 21st century.

Recommend me a shooting jacket/tweed coat

My Barbour wax jacket is a good fifteen years old and going strong (many, many re-waxings). In really crappy weather I wear a full length Drizabone which is probably closer to twenty years old. For shooting tweeds I've got an Orvis with an 'action back' which is smart and fairly slim fitting -...

Are you happy buying caged hens eggs?

@Exfarmer Thank you for the explanation regarding the water. Does this apply to Chicken and Pork / Bacon as well? I'm sure I've read "added water" on packaging before now, and when I cure and smoke my own bacon I don't get any of the water leakage and white scum that I get from shop-bought...

Are you happy buying caged hens eggs?

This thread has been an eye-opener for me. I came into it thinking that I was solid, and then find that my personal experience with a battery farm in the seventies is completely out of date. In my last house but one (in the Welsh valleys) we had chickens. They were almost as much pets as layers...

    The way farming should be...?

Crikey life was hard then. Did you see some of the faces? And the rags many were wearing? We really don't know how good we have it today <really enjoyed watching that though, thank you for posting>
