I remember when the advice was as soon as possible after March 1st; when conditions allow. Who knows thesedays with these weather patterns and virus when is best 🤷♂️
Is this about normal time for you light land boys to start drilling? Seems a bit later than normal(?) I sprayed mine off on Friday but can’t imagine it will be dry enough to drill for another 3 weeks at least. 20th April seems to be becoming our norm around here…no seed anyway!
Check out the first 4 words of my post. The manganese is an interesting point tho…we do have deficient land but again; you’re not ‘not’ going to put manganese on irrespective of rolling are you?? 🤷♂️
Unless you have stones; I really can’t see the point of rolling 🤷♂️ it’s still going to tiller without rolling; you’re still going to put pgr on even if you roll and apart from making pretty stripes….it strikes me as being fairly recreational
That will be much bigger than the t7 270. In newhollandish 270hp probably means 165hp unless the pto is on, heater is on setting 3 and the prevailing wind is SSW.
Same here; just an abs ring so far in 86000 miles. I love it. Really don’t know what I’ll replace it with…I guess the last of the old V6 Roks are priced sky high now if these new ones are a bit ‘diluted’ 🤷♂️
Depends on the manganese. I have an ibc of ‘donkey pee’ that will mix with anything (nearly) and some yara stuff that is more concentrated but you’ve got to be careful. But as @Flatlander said; physical compatibility should only be one of your worries if you’re trying something out of the ordinary.
This. If I ring up to make a voluntary overpayment to the mortgage they want to know where the money is coming from. I usually just say ‘farm profits’ and they just tap it in and we move on
Sounds like she has the ability-I would push her to do A-levels; even if it’s at a different school. Be a lot easier route to a degree. Not sure if the a-level bit is attached to her school(?) mine was and most of the bad apples left after yr11
For sure but the sheer length of a plough once you get a bounce on could easily magnify its weight and add significant ‘extra’ momentary weight and it’s at this point something is going to break. Not to mention the fact that if the front is lifting you’ve basically got all of your train weight...
I know you’re joking but I completely agree. Any more than 5 furrows shouldn’t be fully mounted imo. All that weight up front just illustrates how much strain is going through that top link pin. I know 2 neighbours who have ended up ploughing the tarmac…
You have to be mindful of the additional commission to bid online; I had a little shock last week with ibidder (at a different sale). Cheaper to leave a commission bid with the auctioneer.
