It does drive forward but won’t move to neutral or reverse, it doesn’t build air for the gear change, even when manually aired up it doesn’t want to change out of drive.
Ah ok, is it a fairly easy job to do ? Anything to look out for/check. Does it throw any particular fault code ?
I think the gear box is an electro pneumatic, so presumably needs some kind of air as well as electrical shift ?
I think I’ve found a place that re builds them, so may give them a...
Didn’t bother to look into the fix ? Is that how you heard the modulator could be faulty ?
just out of interest what would I expect for an export price for an actros with this issue, it’s a 2013 plate.
Yes that’s the one on the stalk…. Funny you say that someone has also said to me that it could be the ecu as that’s not firing the compressor up ?
I assume by modulator you mean either the gearbox or compressor ecu ?
Have you had this issue also ? TIA
Partially related to the farming haulage business, does anyone know much about the technical side of the operation of a 2013 Mercedes Actros tractor unit, it is a fully automatic version. It will start and drive but not select reverse. (We have just acquired it in this state for a reasonable...
Also looking for advise on Heat Pump Dryers, I'm torn between a condensing one and a heat pump, obviously the heat pump will take longer and save a few pennies, but how much would it save vs condensing, with doing lots of washing for kids etc I'm not sure if the extra time will cause us a bit of...
I always use cc for big purchases, encase anything like this happens, but have never had to use s75 until now, I ask the question as certain sites (inc cc say similar to this, copied from MSE)
"It applies to items costing over £100 and less than £30,000 paid for on credit card and can typically...
As title anyone have any experience or knowledge of the credit consumer act 1975, specifically section 75.
In short, deposit paid to a supplier on a credit card (2.5k) who shortly after went bust and no longer in business, credit card co carried out a successful charge back on the deposit just...
Sorry to jump on thread, what's got a similar set up, that's empty and has been for a while, its a small paddock, no electric but with mains water, with enough room for 2 horses and maybe about 2 acres of grass, what's the going rent ? (south west area)
As title does anyone know if something like google nest or another specific display system will permanently show the givenergy app or cloud for solar/battery status ?
This may have been asked, and perhaps I didn't understand but what would be a typical business rate for this type of venture, is it linked to acreage/turn over/land value ?
Having been let down spectacularly by a so called reputable supplier/installer, I'm now in the position to look for another Solar Panel and Battery Supplier and Installer, would anyone know of a company that is either in the south west or serves the south west, and if possible not have to wait...
Im in process of getting an inset one fitted, a friend mentioned this to me but two installers I spoke to didn’t mention it at all. They also said as long as hearth is 300 deep then it’s fine 🤷🏼♂️
Would it affect the tipping valve? That’s my whole issue really, it only works if the arms are lowered as soon as you raise them hydraulic flow stops and the arms fail to go any higher, they only move 3 inch or so up/down.
Thanks that’s what I was reading/thinking got to be a good place to start, can’t see how it would effect the valve tho ….
I’m going to whip the cover off and see, noting to loose ….how hard can it be 😂
Yes sorry it’s a trailer/aux pipe, from my reading so far it seems there could be a worn control pin inside ? But wanted to check if anyone could remember anything similar from experience ect… I know these things are very old but can’t be too complex to sort ?
Hi, as title I have a super dexta that we have mounted a log splitter to, never used the hydraulic couplings on the tractor as we bought it a few yrs back and never used.
so with the splitter mounted the spool valve will only pump oil when linkage arms are 1 ft off the ground, (this is all they...
