    Kuhn venta metering issue

Yes unfortunately, it’s easier if you take it off the drill, it comes apart from the other end where you make the adjustments to the cell slide, you have to remove the fluted roller to be able to get to the fixings that hold the bearing housing to the metering unit

does your metering unit look similar to this? The bearing is inside the black plastic part between the sprocket and the sliver body of the metering unit

    Kuhn venta metering issue

It could be a couple of different issues, dose the metering unit turn smoothly when you turn it by hand, could be the bearing is getting ready to seize, there was a modification kit to stop this happening, the other thing to check is the clearance of the sensor that is on the metal sprocket, if...

    Sumo trio

I’ve never had any seed damage with the auger, even when emptying completely to change varieties, it’s mainly the seed is in 4ha packs, the first bag goes though bang on, usually less than a handful left, the second bag can have a couple of kgs left after the 4ha, so soon starts to have a knock...

    Sumo trio

Ah right, it’s just the spreader plates on our one, mounted on the rear of the roller frame, likely where your disc units are attached, the main issue I had to begin with was with the seed rate slowing down on the second or third bag of seed, not sure if it was the dressing that caused the issue...

    Sumo trio

Is it a sumo seeder rape kit you have on your trailed trio? Where do you have the seed outlets mounted? We have a 3m trailed trio also with the front discs, a fantastic piece of kit, makes a great job, just not so impressed with the seeding kit yet, many thanks

    Valtra air compressor problem

Is this an engine driven compressor? It’s not unusual for the front oil seal to fail and cover the whole place in oil, there should be a rebuild kit available for your compressor as they are usually all made by wabco

    Jcb 526-56 heap of shite

Have you spoken to the managing director of this new company about the muppets they seem to have working for them, fitting lots of new parts but only creating more problems and probably charging yourself a fortune in labour to go with it, and you still have a machine that is unusable, is there...

    Escorting a large load

The traffic on the dual carriageway isn’t usually coming towards the combine or wide load, no need for a warning van in front, so the escort van is behind to warm the approaching traffic that there is a hazard in front of them, some drivers can’t judge speed of slow moving vehicles very well as...

    NH t7 crankcase breather filter

Best advice I was given was to take to bonnet off to give more room as well, the t4b has an extra support frame that needs to be removed before the rocker cover can be lifted, it maybe that the replacement filter will be the modified version depending on the age of your tractor
