Anyone got any suggestions where I might find a replacement 42" by 20" solid rear rim to fit a SWB NH. The wheel studs came slack on one of ours and we have cracked it. Its an 8 stud to fit a SWB T7.190
Any NH breakers that can be suggested. I have found one on ebay, at a breaker in Cork, but...
I have an old ifor LT85G 10x5' flatbed. It's a handy trailer but not used much. Anyway the brakes are knackered and not sure if repair is worthwhile or even doable.
How hard is it to replace the backplate?
It would really need backplates, shoes and cables. Possibly new wheels. Worth doing?
Does anyone know if the MRAM (maintenance and repair of agricultural machinery) still runs at Morton Morrell or any similar courses?
I did the MRAM 20 years ago and found it really worthwhile. My nephew is now thinking of doing similar if it exists.
Thanks
I am considering swaping my current spreader either for this season or next. We currently have a Kuhn Axix on s6 discs with weighcells. I like the spreader except the occasional fault codes it throws however I find the border spreading poor.
We don't have massive fields so having a 6 m bout...
Can anyone give me the correct procedure for removing the floor drive 'box on a lowlander mk3?
I have not started yet but was looking for a few pointers before I did.
Thanks
I am contemplating shifting our old JS130. Local dealer has offered me a JS131 or JZ141 zero tail swing for similar money. Same age jz slightly less money but maybe 1000hrs more. Approx 6500hr v 5500.
What are the drawbacks to the jz. Have read that access to engine can be tight.
Is it likely...
Second year running we have a batch of Angus stores. Mostly Stots. They seem to love standing at the water trough flicking water out with there tongues making a feckin mess. They will then lie in this, if they get a chance, making themselves very dirty.
They were in a shed with proper troughs...
Got a new🤣 to me mex6 this year. It goes well however the blades are very nearly knackered.
My question is how long should a set of blades last?
We chop probably a max of 100 acres a year, so do a try to find a good secondhand set, or go for new ones at approx 140 quid each?
Hoping this...
Anyone else getting bombarded with emails from ABP? Must have had about 20 of them overnight telling me that I can now log in to Livestock Hub or something like that.
Topping up the oil in the rotor gearboxes on my old bunning spreader. Does the oil flow between the 3 gearboxes? The fill plug for the middle be ox is covered up by rear plate.
Thanks
I have bought an old shotblaster to do some trailers etc.
Can I get some advice on what PPE I need. Obviously a hood and suit of some sort. Does the hood need to be air fed?
Any tips or links to equipment would be great.
Any work tips would be great too
Thanks Kenny
Does anyone know how much oil a 2 oven aga should use if it on 365 days a year ?
We have a Redfyre poormans aga copy and it has averaged 3700 litres of kero per year for last 3 years.
Got a couple of headland left bare on some potato fields (ploughed). Would like to plant something that will give us some extra silage and to provide a more stable base when it comes to lifting time in September/ October.
A few years ago I did a barley/ Ryegrass mix and it worked ok but...
Need to get a Ryegrass catch crop sown into spring oats. Think it is going to be too wet for tractor and grass broadcaster so might spin it on with the quad and slug pelleter.
Has anyone got any settings for a Fanjet sowing 5kg/ac ( 12.5kg/ ha)
Thanks
We have an old yr2000 js130. No extra lines except for quick hitch. Would it be possible to use a solenoid diverter on the bucket crowd pipes to give me an extra Service for working a tilt bucket and possibly a tree shear in future?
@Mr Happy anything you could supply?
Is it possible to cut a header extension down in width? There is a 24' one at a local sale but I only need a 20'.
Also are the worth the hassle. I got in ok with my standard NH header last year (previously swathed everything). Crop was short last year though.
Wintering a few cattle for someone. We feed and bed and supply silage. Charging x amount a week should I put vat on the invoice?
I never bother putting vat on sheep wintering but maybe i should be.
Thanks
