I have an old ifor LT85G 10x5' flatbed. It's a handy trailer but not used much. Anyway the brakes are knackered and not sure if repair is worthwhile or even doable. How hard is it to replace the backplate? It would really need backplates, shoes and cables. Possibly new wheels. Worth doing?

Is it possible to cut a header extension down in width? There is a 24' one at a local sale but I only need a 20'. Also are the worth the hassle. I got in ok with my standard NH header last year (previously swathed everything). Crop was short last year though.
