    Starfire 3000 keeps dropping SF1

It must be JD who are organising the theft of our satellite receivers as the thieves took an old ITC and 3000 and left us our pin protected 6000. Replaced the 3000 with 7000. Three other random farms in the area got done the same night all JD star fire. Other farms that have JD tractors but no...

    Starfire 3000 keeps dropping SF1

It’s ok pass to pass but if you go and fill up with seed you just need to check it hasn’t drifted. Buying more accuracy just means less drift in weeks or years. But working pass to pass you won’t notice it unless you miss every other bout then work back to fill in.

Have you had them updated lately? I think the 3000 and 6000 needs updating software. Contact your local dealership. Or go to Stella support if your tech. Minded.

Toppers - educate me please !

Hi Clive. We had a front and rear mounted flail very heavy-duty Spaldings one. Did a lovely job but quite slow ,worst of all on AB15 malleable cutting you overheat every half hour as the dead grass collects on the radiator panels. JD 6215 eventually had a fire under the tractor cab from a...

    Which seedhawk coulter?

We Are still using the original tines with the rubber seed tube and they worked well this spring. As long as you keep the stubble height low it stops the clump and dump problem.

All the hinges have bushes so can get replaced if worn. The only thing we have had brake is the steering wheels at the front the bush holding sleave broke away from the bolted plate. This didn't stop us from drilling at the time but did want to replace it before it wore the frame. Then the new...

Still on original ones. BTT do these https://bttuk.com/products/686-knh-1001-1001p/ . We are finding better tilth using the twin original tine than the single one that left a bit of a wet grove this spring. The twin tine does "clump and dump" if you leave the stubble too long as you warned...

Spring Barley Establishment by Vaderstad Seed Hawk

If using high seed rates and no Fert. The beauty of the Tiloso rake is it rolls as well, If you need to roll it a bit heavier, the rake has leveled off the furrows and the rollers will press the whole seedbed. If drilling osr you would just need to check drilling depth to take into account you...

Spring Barley Establishment by Vaderstad Seed Hawk

There is a packer wheel that is the depth wheel on each tine. You can adjust the ram pressure on the seed arm to suit the conditions. In Good soil conditions like this, the wheel is fine. On heavier dry cloddy clay we will use the Tilso rake. On soft peat, we use a roll to level and consolidate...

    Opico square ploughs.

I found a use for mine after it had stood for 15 years. Creating a camber on our farm tracks :) After the straw burning ban, we didn't have a reversible plough and these were a lot cheaper £4k odd. Also in the 90s tractors back end lift capacity wasn't great. But as said before the run of dry...
