Agree alot of dependence on a good yielding crop ....!! Low inputs and good following wheat crop hopefully compensate ....will let you know how yield turns out ...keeping everything crossed they have looked ok all year .....

See Ergot tolerances have been tightened up this harvest does this mean if you can see it on lump of wheat it will need dressing out or is there some guidance say 1 ergot kernel per kg of wheat is too much ?
If it has to be gravity separated to remove how much per tonne can you expect to pay ...
What soil type are you on ?
Grown some Spring beans this year weed levels been pretty low pre em worked well conditions were good when applied .
On some moderately heavy soil which is normally not too bad for weed population .
Make or break for me this year apart from small tonnage on 3 year contract ....for 2022
Originally opted for neonic treatment then went for no neonic when looked like would nt need it anyway....then Rothamstead model said low risk so wont be needed/available .......Not sure when seed will turn...
Guess hope that these wet autumns last two been exceedingly wet and never seen as much standing water around in area ....could this be a trend that will be repeated consistently?
Would be happy not to grow root crops see what ELMS has to offer when it is unveiled .
