    Usually about 3 hours here if no problems just checking! 200 ewes and lambs and 160 suckers with calves and 75 yearlings! An extra 30 minutes added o for when filling lamb feeders and later in autumn another hour to full calve creep feeders every 2nd day!

    Got about 50 cows n calves out that are all getting fed silage in trailers. Got 80 cows n calves in the shed that not putting out as trying to save fields best we can and got another 50 cows still calving in the shed atm as well. Just horrible weather, no grass growth of much significance really

    Whole or half lamb

    Looking to buy either a whole or a half lamb that is boxed up and butchered. Would anyone be able to tell me "roughly"what you would be looking to get from an average sized lamb once it has been fully butchered??? And roughly what sort of price most people do this for??

    Just out of curiosity how many people ince notice a ewe with mastitis in the field actually recover the quarter so it milks again for the lambs?? Or is it always just a case of once seen visually in field its to late and just try save tbe ewe and see how the lambs manage???

    Vet said it was a full twist anyway! By signs i mean she looked uncomfortable, tail was held up a little and once or twice seen her lying down pushing but not very much!

    Hopefully be a while before see another one! As never had any experience with them it didnt even cross my mind when seen she was pushing but only slightly during the night but had no waterbag etc showing so just thought best to leave alone- in hindsight might of been what killed the calve sadly...
