Just had 3 case of bloody milk in 2 weeks, a few clots of mastitis in one. Used uddermint on the first 2 and it soon cleared up. Any ideas on cause? In 68 milkers so it's quite a high proportion.
Not seen it mid lactation before, only in fresh calvers.
Cheers
Anybody know where theres a 2140 breaking that hasn't burnt?!
Could do with a new dash, believe it's the same as some of the bigger models
2007 built
Cheers
Anyone know a good rewind firm? I'm waiting to hear back from a local one but they did turn their noses up a bit at my dirty water pump last time so think it might be a while.......
Cheers
Saw something about this in fw a while ago, anyone on here doing it?
Basically grazing young stock ahead of dairy cattle, chap in the article put young stock in at 3000 for 24 hrs they graze to 500 or so then dairy cows go in I think after 6 days and take it down to 1500.
No concentrate needed...
As above, has anyone got one or know anything about them?
I have a bit of a project which needs 3 phase off grid, I've already built it with 3 victron inverters but want to add some solar which with the cost of victron mppt charge controllers is starting to get a bit steep!
The voltacon...
As above, have these 2 1000 gallon tanks I'd like to paint.
I've hammered one with 9" grinder and wire brush, apart from being time consuming there are still little rust pits all over the surface.
I've been looking at rust remover and convertors but am not really sure of the best way to do...
Bit of a long shot, but I know there's a few bikers on here, @Farmer Roy has one and might know!
My wr450f had been laid up for a bit, I got one of those all balls carb rebuild kits, stripped cleaned, new jets etc.
Can I get the thing to run right now, won't run off choke.
I've had carb apart...
Just seen this in a old fw , fixes nitrogen into slurry or digestate using some sort of plasma, so just electric and air.
Apparently reduces ammonia and methane emissions?
There are a few running in UK, anyone know much about them? If it stabilises slurry maybe an alternative to a cover...
This is more a statement than anything else, save anyone else wasting time!
My 2140 locked it's linkage controls the other day, no fault code flashing, just couldn't unlock it.
After several hours checking switches connections etc tried to start it, it had a flat battery.
Turns out the EDC...
My uncle is currently driving his major from John o groats to lands end for Devon air ambulance.

Anyone found any that can be used? Always used agrimin but they have let their certification laspe with organic farmers and growers.
Seems more important now I've just heard the rumenco place had a fire and can't get organic mineral blocks at the moment 😥
Thanks
As above really, considering going from a sort of Ayr pattern to autumn block.
I'd like eventually to start calving end sept/October, looking at my current pattern, a third or so already fit, just over a third are in January and February and the rest are sort of littered about the rest of the...
We're organic dairy and last few years have had some off ground on a grazing agreement, converted it to organic and the landlord claims the payment.
They've just let me know it's now in GS2 and bit by bit what the rules are, highlights;
No cutting til 1st July
No dung spreading until 1st July...
This is my top main bearing 😱
Any one put one in? It's a old yellow powermix 2, no way of greasing so assume it's a sealed bearing?
Can easily size a double taper roller from bearing folks but if it is sealed might have be a special one? ££££!
Thanks
I've put a ad in the wanted section, but I never look there!
I'm after some second hand coreless auger motors/gearboxes, preferably chore time as I have plenty of chore time flights but would consider anything around 80mm, I can 'alter' most things to fit
Preferably southwest, thanks
Last time I had a good collection of old oil we got paid for it.
Is this still the case? (It was quite a while ago!!)
Got around 800l to shift. Any one recommend a good firm.
Thanks
I'm in the process of moving our dairy cows to new housing and looking at all my options.
A small scale ad plant would suit well I think, but my budget is too small to think about the containerized plants, I'm aiming to get to around 100 cows housed for as short a period as I can on sand...
I've got a fairly elderly sh40h the flywheel has got a fair bit of play on it now, pretty much to the point that it very difficult to set up the blades. I have got away with greasing the centre before which helps a bit but its got to the point where I'm going to have to do something!
I'm...
