If it’s a new machine (last 5/7years) it’s near the rear couplers. Also a fuse in battery box. If it’s an old KT model there maybe a fuse in engine bay
Don’t think you will find the leak pulling it out as the hoses won’t come far enough back. Needs to come fully out. Fixed to the inner boom section usually on the lower wear pads bracket
You may need to pressurise the ram to stop turning but if sensors disconnected you will need to carry out recalibration if you turn the ignition on. Yep disconnect the 10 wires and pull it out
The fault most likely is either a connection on the back of the dash, the circuit board or a fuse. I presume you don’t have an emergency stop button fitted and pushed in? Try it with the safe load bypass key turned to bypass

I stock a lot of parts for them and have access to parts books so find it easy. Strangely I avoid manitou and jcb with the same vigour you avoid merlo 🤣
