Bought a 2nd hand kvernland bale wrapper last year, one with a remote control.
Put the remote somewhere safe, but it's that safe I can't find it!
Does anyone know if a new remote would work with the control box or will it be a whole new system to be wired into the wrapper?
few years ago we had some hay baled green - was put into mini hestons, these were on their own in the shed and the old boy chucked salt on them to bring the damp to the top - seem to work.
We have a Chilton MX260 loader came off our old IMT back in the day and was swapped mid 90's onto a ford - need a new attachment for the loader and struggling to find Chilton 260 brackets - does look very much like a MF80 loader - does anyone have any ideas?
I think they have a alert on our name when we order fuel - always says 'do not over deliver' on the tank.
we do use them if we forget to order something in good time,
fertiliser is based on delivery time rather than price within reason.
otherwise we use MVF for 90% of things, seems to be the...
i rented some land which was known to have ragwort -
3rd year into it, were getting on top, but it been a mix of grazing with sheep, spot spraying with glysophate or grazon and topping and leaving, depending on the situation.
fingers crossed were getting on top of it now, good luck.
2 blocks of land - we have friends near both who bale for us.
One lad - no problem, i'll bale it if you row up in front of me,we do that on his own hay land aswell, baling 250 bales between us.
other lad, always a problem, couldn't give him a decent swath so we borrowed the lad aboves rake -...

everyone doe it differently - it's finding what works for your system -
we have lifeline out in the field now topped up with 18% sheep nuts, previously just ran on since November on Maxx energy & haylage - for me its convenience, I have time to walk round them ever day, but not to put beet out...
Having got an agreement with a local shoot - grazing kale that is used for game cover with in lamb ewes once shooting has finished- they are looking at an alternative after 3 years on the same ground with kale -
just wondered what thoughts people had on fodder beet?
is it as easy to grow as the...
bagged feed is expensive, but I had a look at the ingredients when the rep came round - 10% soya, I haven't found anything near that locally.
I suppose its the old adage 'you get what you pay for'
check with an SQP at your local ag merchant / Vet
we were told to jab 14 days between each - they are two vaccines which would work against each other in the immune system.
some people may tell you otherwise on here.
We are very lucky to have 6 mills within 40 mile radius -
we shopped about for prices, but we were happy with MVF last couple of years so stuck with them - not the cheapest, but we felt it worked previously, and the price was comparable to last year.
i scanned 71 ewes - a mix of scotch mule / NofE Mule and texel x
197% -
9 single
9 triplets
1 geld
rest as twins, 35 shearlings in that so very happy.
all tupped to a texel or a roussin.
ewes were weaned last week of july, been running on good grasses since, had a mineral drench a week...
I try and invest a little bit every year - bit of handling / feeding equipment, lambing hurdles etc so when times are good you can hopefully push on and make the most of it.
'new to me' tractor 2 years ago - bought a couple of other bits of machinery as time went on, looking at a quad for this...
you are not suppose to jab with heptavac / ovivac as it puts the immune system under pressure to cope with 2 vaccines.
ask your vet regarding pre lambing - but you'd be handling them for heptavac anyway at some point?
I personally don't like machinery shopping -
I detest haggling - best price 1st time kind of person.
looked at a new tedder mid april 2019 - I told the rep I don't haggle, best price - in a week he knocked £1800 off his original price - went with it, local firm - still waiting for my warranty...
