    Wreckers!!

Strange where people get such ideas from isn't it. There are 3 main categories to pull behind tractors Ag trailer - max gross weight 18.29t. Ag trailed appliance - max gross weight 14.23t and unladen weight must be greater than payload weight. Ag trailed appliance conveyor - unladen weight MAX...

    Wreckers!!

If there is a market they will make them. They are legal on the road (empty) in this country, who’s to say they aren’t being used on ring fenced blocks or being fed by road tankers / nurse tanks? Nonsense. The limit for anything trailed behind an agricultural tractor is 18.29t. Carrying the...

    Hydraulic brake adjustment on trailer.

That post was copy and paste from an old thread, I’ve not brought a set for a few years. Have you asked Erentek?

    Hydraulic brake adjustment on trailer.

That will allow the shoes to engage, but won’t give you maximum braking force. When the brakes are fully applied, the ram and slack adjuster should be perpendicular. ALWAYS remove the majority of the play with the slack adjuster and use the adjuster bolt for fine adjustment. Anything else is...

    Hydraulic brake adjustment on trailer.

Remove brake actuators. Remove slack adjusters. Throw slack adjusters in scrap. Fit these: http://www.erentek.co.uk/parts/0535.jpg Refit brake actuators. £80 for a set and makes it so much easier.

    Ifor wheel bearings

Did 4 earlier this year. Was a piece of cake in a press, think it went to about 25t getting the old one out. New ones went in at about 5t.

    Grease gun holder

I used to bolt a silage wrap tube to bits of kit to carry a grease gun. If you left your tractor out and about you had to remember to lock it in the cab or take it home with you. Now we just take a gun out in the pickup with the diesel cube.

    Blonde or limousin cattle?

We used to have Blondes but the calves suffered from a lack of ‘get up and go’ and we had a few where the legs wouldn’t straighten so they couldn’t walk, needed splinting for a week after calving. All Limousin now and so much less work needed after calving. No wilder either, it’s all about the...

    Big balers

Depends on your definition of tight and the string you use. But you will get a denser bale with 2 knots.

    Insecure load !!!!

When Ely power station opened every load had to be netted, it was a planning permission condition by the neighbouring villages to prevent straw littering. We used to have an aluminium pole threaded along a pocket on one side of the net, throw a strap over and pull the net up and over with a...

    Electrical Meter Move

From my dealings with them that sounds quite reasonable. I got quoted £2,500 to connect onto a pole 4m away, with me digging the trench. Yours is a longer run, as well as a disconnect. Mine was UK Power Networks.

    Pick up Hitch visibility

A couple here with mirrors for the PUH, easier to see than the push back ones as they never push back far enough 🤦🏻‍♂️. However I do miss the push back, as you have to be straightish when hitching / unhitching otherwise the link arms foul the drawbar.

Best big square baler for haylage and straw

Our 70XDs cope well with lucene and grass sialge, but IMO cutters in a square baler are a waste of time. Tried the Krone and MF cutters and both were forever failing. The Procut works better than the Cutter though once they’d sorted the design.

    Insecure load !!!!

Obviously the majority are probably genuine, but a lot of ‘wronguns’ know the system and try everything to get out of something they’ve been caught doing. Unfortunately that is one of the cards. Does it say anywhere how many females are accused of crimes against men? Going back to the previous...
