    Natural England knows best?

It'll only dig their hole deeper....there's already a list of MPs demanding their demise

    Natural England knows best?

I'd go to your MP and the sec of state, and offer, instead of wasting more public money, and your time, that they appoint someone to mediate. All NE are doing now, even if they beat you, is to make themselves look officious, and untouchable. They're already wondering why I'm denying them...

    Ewe flock annual mortality rate

Somewhat direct spoken dealer Ken Jones reckoned anyone who claimed to lose less than 10% of the lamb crop was 'a f$£%ing liar'

    Ewe flock annual mortality rate

I thought it was wrapped silage that raised the life expectancy round here. No more 'farmers lung'. (quad accidents pulled it back a bit soon after mind)

    Ewe flock annual mortality rate

That's working on the premise that each ram is better than the previous....which isn't always the case. When we're really on it, jnr goes through ewes at tupping, and marks best teeth etc, then using that, we select tup lambs off ewes we like the look/performance off later. Critically, i want...

We've got 2 x 30 series, and there's never a queue to drive either! A 6330 has a savage clutch with no-one (inc 2 JD dealers) has managed to sort....which everyone hates. As I understand, the 10's had no electrics to the clutch, and they just don't fail. (it's like JD have built some...

I need john deere buying advice.

Never had a 20 series, but 2x 30 series here both have got stupid electrics, which require dealer/laptop fixes most years. Tin work is much lower spec as time went on...as OP has seemingly discovered. 10 series will go on with a scratch in paint for years...years and years, and not rot out. I've...

I see you're sorted now, although I'd have gone a bit older. 10 series have been much better for me....they started going downhill thereafter. Good luck up there in finland! Do you keep cattle....post some pics!

    TB from cow colostrum

Reactor cow here reared her own calf to weaning, prior to reacting....it has tested clear consistently.

Guy Scabsoul is a vile little farmer hater -in my experience.

I suspect you're a bit more remote from the coalface of rewilding than some of us @Clive 'They' are pushing and pushing to reduce farming activity on all uplands, to the extent that critical mass is being lost wholesale now. Abattoirs/markets/hauliers/shearers/round baler...

A large array of bodies are angling to grab as big a slice of post brexit subs as they possibly can. Wildlife charities, Nat Parks, rewilding groups etc etc It boils their widdle that us nature hating farmers have been paid so much, all these years.

    World War 3......the start?

And what were the top Iranian generals doing in Damascus? On their holidays? I take your point, but it's been steadily escalating for years, as Iran works away to hurt Israel..

Better under sitka then, as far as production is concerned. But blurb says rewildy type trees. I've had some contact with owners, but know nought of em. In this instance, I'm only going off what FWs are reporting. I no longer care about the greenwashing carbon nonsense- if that's their thing...

I don't know the ground personally, but it seems to be improved upland. However you cut it, that's a lot of tonnage of beef and/or lamb now not coming to market. Will people just eat a little bit less to accommodate? Or pay a bit extra for Bill Gate's factory gloop?

Reports the 970 acre 'Sibleyback farm' on Bodmin has been sold to rewilders....£10 million to turn it into native woodland and bog. Where does this all end?
