Advice please.
Never had a fixed chamber baler, always had variable, currently running a NH BR7060
What is the above baler like in straw? Will it pack it in as well as what we currently have? Not saying the New Holland is mega, just don’t want it to be any worse.
Can anyone help out with this, JD round baler tying arm not engaging. If you lift the tail gate up it sounds like it trips, but the arm itself doesn’t swing round. Same thing with the manual trip on the rope. There’s oil and pressure in the pump. Problem seems to be the little ram in the photo...
Currently running a Kuhn VB3165 round baler, is a great piece of kit apart from wrapping grass around all the rollers when bailing short, lush grass with lots of clover.
This type of crop is now the majority of our silage, would any other roller balers be better at this?
I’m guessing a...
Let’s start a harvest 23 thread! So how far do we all think we are from starting? Winter barley rapidly ripening here early start is on the cards. First week of july maybe, rape just starting to lose its greenness also!
A company in York is advertising for agricultural land to turn into Environment habitats .
They trade as The Environment Bank .
Has anyone had any dealings with this idea ?
Talking to a bit of a hero the other day reckons for seen maize round baled.
firstly is he just been a hero or has anyone seen, heard or even witnessed this happening in the UK.
Isn’t the gaffer such a cuddly guy. Signs the nation up to complex deals, expecting the other side not to apply what has been agreed to by him. He of course, has no intention whatsoever to implementing what has been agreed, and so has no apparent difficulty in believing or hoping, others would...
Currently looking to buy a S/H baler for use on straw only. Whilst many would prefer a belt baler for this purpose how are people getting on with roller type machines such as McHale/Welger/Kuhn once the straw becomes brittle.
Thoughts and advice appreciated
Which baler to replace a variable chamber Krone? McHale roller makes best shaped bales of grass, Kuhn belt best for swallowing dry stuff (and presumably straw), but bales of second cut sag before wrapping (or I didn't set the density correct on the demo).
What are the McHale V6 like for making...
Always used a contractor but got a bigger tractor now, and fed up of shifting 120cm rounds all day, so looking for a baler to bale straw (bought off the field), hay and poss silage (light cuts or if i cant get silage contractor at the right time) Leaning towards a 120x90 baler but thinking i may...
Recently bought this rp435 baler so I'm not fully aware of all its habits I'm having a bit of bother with the net starting then getting wrapped around that red roller and not going into the chamber does anyone know why it would be doing this? Any help greatly appreciated

.....If is switch over to a forage wagon (contractor) to make my silage? My silage cost around £60/ac to get it in the pit last year (raking, lifting, clamping). I did the mowing, tedding and drayed a trailer. Distance from the clamp to the furthest field is less than a mile. Has anybody gone...
