    Tractor tyres - radia/crossply/premium/budget

Hi I need to replace both tyres on my Valtra 700 - small tractor. One is very worn and the other has a puncture. I could get the puncture repaired, but tyre people tell me that I would have to have inner tube and then couldn't fill the tyre with water - which it currently has for ballast...

    Overdraft

I've finally finished cash flows I'm happy with them, and looking at them I'm really surprised at how well things should look in 12-18 months time. I've been extremely hard on the figures, milk price is in at 32ppl and costs are all over the top rather than under. However, there's a period...

Buying livestock on a 0% interest credit card

I’ve noticed a lot of adverts for 0% for 6-12month credit cards recently. Is anyone buying their store lambs/cattle with them? Is it too good to be true? Seems a good way to me because you’ll have the lambs bought, fed and money back in the bank then just pay the card off? Anyone got any advice?

Anyone else been asked to provide a mugshot because you have bought fertiliser?

As above really, text came through this afternoon asking for a 'farmers photo' I rang my dealer (a lady) immediately and without preamble she said "No, I don't want an unclothed picture" I am tempted to use one of a celebrity as we have never met and I don't want to shatter her delusions.

I didn't plant any linseed this yr, instead opting for a summer cover crop. Painful decision, but first loss and all that. Anyway, just been to check on progress, and saw this: This is a 4m strip across the angle of the drilling where I had been messing around with a home made cultivator...

    France!

Has the Genie escaped from the bottle properly this time? Predictions that this is going to be much more difficult to quell than the 2005 riots as there is now a much greater national spread of non-nationals than there was then. Renationalise Thames Water

In general, I don't like the state owning things. But surely this is an idea time to return one of the "natural monopolies" to state hands? Filled with debt by venture capital, used to divert money from investment to dividends. Water privatisation so bad. Here's a chance to return it to public...
