Any recommendations for websites selling truck/hgv tyres?
Had a quote from our usual local supplier, but didn't sound very competitive to me:unsure:
Need a set of 4 drive axle 245/70r17.5 of a decent make, @Terry Elsey Tyres do you do these?
thanks
I wanting to find out if cross climate tyres do give more grip and better braking in snow and icy conditions. Have been using winter tyres but thinking they are over kill for the amount of times we get snow on the Cotswolds. Don’t get me wrong winter tyres really do work but loose their gripping...
All - Starting to look around for a new set of John Deere ag tracks and came across the Stryder brand which appears to have a lower price point. I'm familiar with Camso, Bridgestone, and Soucy but have never heard of this brand. Anyone have any experience running these or know how they hold up?
Bit of a minefield?!?
I was drilling stubble turnips other day and suddenly tyre went down on the back of new Holland. Got a gash in the side wall.
Could have repaired it but thought tyres 5 year old and few other minor gashs in the sidewall as well. Bought some new BKTs to be fitted today...
1st cut of silage in but ground was softish in places...nevermind the steep bits!
Fendt 724 on new Trelleborg TM1060 710/60/42 and 600/60/30 and were cutting up the sods on delivery pressure...25psi! Dropped the rears to 16psi rear and 20psi front (870kg front weight)
Forecast isn't looking too...
I am about to change the tyres on a JD6155M,it is currently on 520/85 R38 and 480/70 R38.
It will be doing a mixture of road and field work, what are the best options for both make and size on the the current rims?
Any advice/recommendations would be appreciated?

We are looking to replace 560/60r22.5 on our muck trailer. Doesn’t get a lot of use so not looking at Michelins, but have been quoted a good price on Ascenso brand. Are they any good or should i avoid them?
Opinions on VF tyres please , are they worth the extra over standard flotations ? ( 540/65r30 650/65r42 )
How are people getting on with them , wear rates ect
This evening I needed to move our Audi s3 Quattro in some compacted snow and up a slight incline to where we park the car by the side of our house . To my horror I couldn't get the car all the way up the slope as it just spun on the compacted snow. I am sure the rear wheels were not...
Just bought a new Fendt 516 and I need to increase my front weight from the 750 kg block I used for the 6 cylinder Puma 165 I sold. The heaviest machines it will carry are an 1800 l sprayer and a 5 furrow plough. We do quite a bit of road travel and I have been advised to add at least 500 kg...
Hi, I'm hoping for some advice about a dog.
My friend has a rescue and isn't certain of the breed, it was found in a dustbin with its litter. It appears to be a border collie cross husky or Akita. The dog is whip-smart, loyal, and affectionate. With no sheepdog training, it's showing a natural...
Currently pricing up tyres to replace a set of Michelin Axiobibs. 800x70R38 rears and 600x70R30
Waiting on some prices back. Any other brand I should be looking at? currently got prices in for Michelin, BKT, Vredestein.
Have decided to steer clear of Trelleborg because of them going at the...
Currently try to spec tyres on a new tractor. Thinking of going with Bridgestone vt Tyres, 710 42s looking for user opinions on these. Always had Michelin in the past just wondering how they compare
This is a thread for those who feel guilty about cluttering up dear old GUTH’s beloved price tracker with the chit chat that stop us all being that miserable our families would throw us all out to sit with the dog in the porch. All are welcome, you can even post prices if you want. The only rule...
