    T2 on scorched wheat

Put final dose liquid fert on wheat and winter barley last Monday. Its scorched it all and turned tips of leaves orange. T2 due to go on, which includes a fair dose of pgr. Would you wait until its green again and grown away from damage? Or just get on and spray it as is?

    AB15 2 year legume

Have 6 weeks from when you can destroy in 2nd year to hopefully drilling wheat - last year presumably like toast & you could bale up for bedding. In a wet year topping off a 2ft high mass could leave a thick mat & long stubble under the tyre tracks. What have people done

    Topik vs Axial

Any disadvantages to Topik for a straight wild oats job, as opposed to Axial? Seems half the price and less hard on the crop, but would welcome views. Thanks

    Grass weed explosion

Anyone else seeing a big grass weed explosion with this wet weather? So depressing rampant ryegrass and blackgrass in fields that looked clean post Christmas.

Due to the lack of spraying weather starting to get behind with it . Still have some Atlantis type products to put on winter wheat then all the wheat will need T0 very soon. Agronomist saying leave the herbicides very soon and move on to the T0 s . Weather is driving me crazy two nice days then...

When to start putting N on wheat?

I was always told that February nitrogen flattens crops. RB209 recommends nothing until the start of stem extension, and not before early April, unless it has low tiller numbers. Yet everybody else seems to start chucking it on now and their crops look strong and green where as mine look crap...

Additional grassweed control may be required in winter wheat this season

Grassweed burdens in winter wheat are higher than usual in many areas this season, leaving many fields requiring additional control measures to protect crop performance and reduce grass seed return to the soil, warns Agrovista. The problem has been caused by a variety of factors, says Agrovista...

    Second Wheat Herbicide

I am wondering aloud. In order to protect the efficacy of Broadway Star and use it less often than twice in three years or every other year what would be the next best spring herbicide to use? There will be wild oats and brome mainly as well as broadleaves. Would you use Broadway Star again...

    Weed control via cultivation

What level of percentage control does something like a disc get on chitted stubbles? we’ve got some grass weed fields that have greened up nicely but we won’t drill till mid October onwards so do I glyphosate now and then again pre drilling or do we disc now to kill the growth (does it though...

Is it safe to direct drill this?

So below is a silage aftermath that had all gone to seed after the drought so we cut and baled it. I'm just abit concerned that there appears to be quite a few residual grass seeds left over. The plan would be to direct drill winter wheat into this stubble after it has been burnt off with...
