    How to control soft brome

we’ve got a field of W barley that’s got a bad brome problem, I knew it was there in the wheat last year as it had a few bits that had been waterlogged and killed the crop but I’d no idea it would be as bad as it is the field hasn’t had brome in before 3 years ago and was permanent grass till...

    Back to minimum tillage ?

We have a big issue with grass weeds and it’s getting worse. We are ok if we have a big spread of crops but it simply just doesn’t pay due to poor yields of spring crops such as spring linseed, spring barley, spring beans spring wheat. We’ve also tried grass but without our own livestock we get...

    Meadow Brome

We have a problem on one area of land where meadow Brome is proving difficult to control. All chemical control in wheat, autumn and spring applied has been poor (not tried Avadex). Controlling groundsel?

Annoyingly, I see that I've missed a strip in one of my wheat fields, which is nearly at T1, and a large patch of well grown groundsel is very noticeable. What can I use to kill it, given that all the chemicals in the spray store don't say that they will control it? Presently I have Eagle...

    Spray Water Volumes

Probably been discussed a million times but reviewing again to reduce overheads. If I go down to 155 litres per ha instead of 200 I only need to visit each block of land once with my 2000 litre tank which is a big saving in time and clat factor. Is 155 litres per ha adequate for fungicides etc...

    Defy nozzles?

Our defy nozzles are worn out. We have generally been using them at 100l/ha for spring herbicides. What other nozzles/water rates are people using for Broadway star etc or should we stick with what we know? Also do people agree with the Syngenta blurb that 100l/ha with Defry nozzles is...
