We have a skiold 160 roller mill that needs new rollers, does anywhere sell replacement pattern/non genuine rollers as they are roughly £3000 for a set of rollers from skiold through danagri which...
Inspired in some way by the gatecrash of the Fendt gearbox thread, just thought I'd see what folks did.
20 years ago we managed with two 6290's and a 3075, and up to three hire tractors at peak times and contractor help for beet drilling and harvesting, hedge cutting, square baling, destoning...
Looking at changing my 456a john deere, was looking seriously at getting an MF inline but proving dificult to find one and they're rather pricey. Had several people recomend welgers, and they seem slightly cheaper too which wouldnt be a bad thing. Im impressed by the amount of twine it looks...
Mixing own grain here for ewes and finishing lambs, looking for something less hassle & accurate than loader and wall. Anyone using a diet feeder to just mix grain, like idea of it as can make up tmr if want and also maybe propcorn grain if need be. Any other options that would be worth...
As the title really. A friend asked permission to put them up on our place and we discovered twice as many roe as we thought we had including what would be a medal buck we had never seen, hedgehogs we never knew we had, pine martins and an otter visiting our pond (although it was only seen once...

Our Murska 350 crimper is breaking auger shafts.
Replaced one last August, done about 170tons barley and broke again last Monday. Up and running again on Wednesday. 7ton later, snaps again.
Simple system. Driven off belt pto end, auger underneath rollers, other end drives the chain.
Replaced...
Had a big strong lamb earlier in the week, start lying out on one side and scrabbling with his legs, bleating in pain, had the shakes, at 2 or 3 days old.
Gave him pen and strep and a whack of steroid which helped his pain. He'd sup from a bottle but couldn't stand and would not lie on his right...
Hi all
Has anyone any experience of the new version of the MF 5711M dinashift (115hp) seem to get very good reviews
Currently have a Maxxum 110 possibly thinking of changing to this....any thoughts?
We have a mite problem in a store of wheat . The grain was probably not cooled enough. There is a hot spot in the shed.
The question is will propcorn kill the mite
I'm looking at upgrading our MFL Bruiser ( which is an excellent machine )
We have put together a plant which we can blend protien/minerals and add molases to supress dust.
It is quite bespoke and on the slow side.
I'd ideally like a seperate hopper for protien, minerals and a tank for...
Hi,
Looking at a corn mill roller and it has a 3 phase 15kw motor on and our electric supply isn’t strong enough to power this setup. What I’m thinking is to put a hydraulic motor on it and run it off a spool on a tractor or manitou third service.
Anyone know how to work out what motor...
Hi we got a new superior 6000 bruiser delivered yesterday going to be bruising dry barley has anyone got any good tips or tricks when running it. The manual is very poor has loads of pages of useless info doesn’t even have illustrations apart from the parts section. What pto speed should I run I...
Anyone that is mixing their own grain what do they use for mixing. Was hoping to get a mixer bucket for the tractor loader so can mix small batches and fill 800 advantage feeders. Got a quote for one, scary number so was wondering what anyone else is using to mix own grain. Thanks

Looking at the way we feed cattle, and seeing if there’s ways to make it easier or cheaper (ideally both)
Currently feed locally sourced barley, distillers dark grains and Davidsons 5star blend.
Barley is brought home, augered into the loft, then into a bin above the bruiser, bruised then...
