As per title, we've to use BASIS/FACTS qualified person if we want to use IPM plan and Nutrient management Plan for SFI.
Anyone on here offering this service?
Any approximations of fees for doing these?
Anyone growing it? Or considering it for this year?
RGAT’s 2nd go at a BYDV variety, Wolverine didn’t really whet the appetite but what’s the thoughts on Grouse? I haven’t been able to see it in any trials yet
Afternoon all,
Today we've published a handbook containing all the detailed information about the sustainable farming incentive offer for this year.
The handbook is here:

An overview blogpost is here...
Please post the new SFI handbook 2023 on this thread when they publish it today or tmrw and we can discuss the "Devil in the Detail" finally? Press announcement attached.. This is probably the most important document DEFRA will ever release to decide the future of our farm business plans..🤔
I would just like to thank those who told me last autumn that BYDV was a figment of my imagination and that a insecticide is a waste of time .
Only Problem is that I'm looking now at major harm to my bank balance . BYDV is absolutely rife in my unsprayed wheat but mainly controlled in my...
Let’s start a harvest 23 thread! So how far do we all think we are from starting? Winter barley rapidly ripening here early start is on the cards. First week of july maybe, rape just starting to lose its greenness also!
Hi All,
For those who use an agronomist to help with work load who’s got a rec for T3?
Its very dry and wheat of our sensible varieties here very clean (Siskin /Extase etc)
Is teb/prochloraz the general go to in this rusty weather? Will it be needed?
For those that prescribe for themselves...
Hi
Never grown hybrid barley and wondering in a first cereal position if the yields would be comparable but cost less to grow and be a better bet against grassweeds using lower N ,lower fungicide, possibly lower drying costs ?
what’s others thoughts ?
cheers
I think my faithful gleam has had its day. What's looking the standout wheats and barleys on your farms - what's covered the ground well and avoiding the diseases?
I'm reluctantly growing second wheats again this autumn.
I test seed and try to avoid fungicidal seed dressings where possible. I was horrified to see the price of latitude but I'm not sure if I should really be using it? It would seem in a no-till situation and very early October drilling its...
T2 went onto Graham about a week ago , crop was lovely and green, it's slowly turning yellow after 4 days.
Is anybody else seeing it?
1 l verydor + epsomicrotop.
Extase has also tipped a bit.
I've got some insitor to have T2 still but I'm a bit cautious.
