Just been watching the women’s race ..
Very flat, pretty boring and wet looking albeit likely fertile
And respect to the man watching off the roof of his combine.
Just wondering if anyone is successful in broadcasting cover crops into standing crop pre harvest. We are at 36m, is anyone doing it at that width, and also has it proved a successful method of establishment?
Cheers
Hi all,
Can anyone point me in the direction of an operator’s manual for my recently acquired Chafer T2000 trailed sprayer?
It’s from 1993 but has been really well looked after. I’d like to try to keep it in the same nick.
I’m also trying to figure out the most appropriate size of row crop...
To pull a 4000 litre trailed sprayer (32m boom) as its main job (liquid fert as well) mostly flat land no root crops. It’ll also cart corn with 15t trailers, roll with 12m rolls and run a 4m combi drill on rare occasions.
Edit - it’ll need a big oil pump as the sprayer runs off the free flow...
We’ve been using a trailed 36m sprayer running on 650’s all year round (tractor also on 650’s). We are thinking of selling the sprayer as it’s now 10 years old. Looking around newish trailed machines have shot up in price making decent used SP’s look attractive again but they all seem to be 24m...
as the above, I am choosing among the above mentioned. Horsh sure has very stable booms, But it is 10 percent ahead of almost full spec Amazone ux. Haven't received Ixtrac price yet, but hoping it will cost the least.
I also have kv spreader with isobus control unit and section control...
I have been searching for a commercially available unit to permanently install on my sprayer and permanently wire to the battery. It needs to plug into the mains when parked up, switch it on and it keeps the battery trickle charged. Then when I come to start the sprayer it needs a simple boost...

Presently using chafer dribble bars but a potential change to a different sprayer means that nozzles would be the way to go.
What are you using and how do you get on with them?
Can anyone recommend/ tell me the best fitting air seat to put in a 32.6? Sick to death of the sprung seat in there now. No movement as it’s all been broken over the years and hellishly uncomfortable nowerdays also.
Doesn't have to be crazy money just a good comfortable seat please 👍🏻
I have Chafer RG418 , 2009, 4800 hours, 3000 litre, 300 litre clean water, auto section control, mapping , 2 sets of wheels, 3 speed , current mot and very tidy. I am wanting to swap it for .......
I would like to find a trailed 24 metre (or 24/36) , 4000 + litre machine with gps etc or a...

Hey all,
I hope you don't mind indulging this non-farmer but I'm very curious about the typical size and power of tractors - plus the size of implements - you use vs. the size of fields/farm that you're working on? I've been reading through a lot of machinery threads and trying to collate the...
