    Grass after wholecrop

Planning to put a grass ley in after wholecrop barley. Last year agronomist advised to leave barley stubble 2-3weeks to green up with weeds, then Roundup and drill grass a week later. This meant grass wasn’t sown until early Sept and never really got going last back end, so much so that we never...

    Boomless ATV sprayer

Does anyone use one of these? I see you can get them up to 25’ thought it might be handy for steep/wet/rough bits mostly using mcpa. Just wondered if they worked well or do they not carry enough liquid for that amount of coverage?

Best post emergence spray for new grass ley

As per question really. Have a few docks, thistles, buttercups (seem to be everywhere this year!) and what I think is a little bit of redshank. What's the best clover-safe product to hit them. Ley is approx 5 weeks and not too far off being ready to graze.

Evening all, Another dry spring, following on into summer we are finding it difficult to establish a good re seed in the spring following on from turnip ground grazed by fattening hoggs. Will clover take well when direct drilled into permanent pasture.

I was wanting to improve some of the permanent cow pastures and was wondering how well clover will take just direct drilled in, not the sort of field I want to turn over but would like to put more clover into it. Does it take well like this or not really?
